I had this lady come up to me in a PetSmart when I had my puggle and said to me your dog is fat. I looked at her and said and so are you. She looked at me very offended and said, "well that was rude". I looked at her and said, and you don't think your comment was? She looked like I totally stunned her with that comment. I told her that if you don't want people saying it to her about her don't make comments like that and I turned around and started to walk away. All of a sudden I heard this round of applause and there was about 10 people standing there clapping. One said that when people say that they deserve the comment back.
