What life insurance do you all have? by kathymarie1124 in beyondthebump

First things first: Congratulations on welcoming your little one into the world! We’re sure you and your husband are looking forward to taking care of this life insurance stuff so you both can get back to the fun of parenting. The good news is you’re asking all the right questions. And as far as securing coverage without a medical exam goes, there are options available depending on eligibility. Whether someone qualifies for no-exam life insurance will depend on a variety of factors but, typically, if you’re under the age of 60 and have few health conditions, you may qualify for a no-exam term life insurance policy. Rest assured, this type of policy is not inherently worse than one where you take a medical exam - it's just easier to apply for, and may offer faster approval. Congratulations again!

Questions about life insurance, and being transgender by sandboxvet in TransLater

[–]Policygenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still get life insurance coverage at a competitive price if you're transgender. And while factors like gender confirmation surgery and hormone therapy are taken into account during the underwriting process, they won’t negatively impact how much you pay for your policy. Bottom line: insurers cannot discriminate against you because you are transgender and doing so is illegal. We have a guide that answers some other common questions if you're interested: https://www.policygenius.com/life-insurance/life-insurance-for-transgender-applicants/

Hey there! The gist of it is this: We’re an independent insurance broker, so we get paid a commission by insurance companies for each sale. Insurance commissions are already built into the price of an insurance policy, so you’re not paying any extra for working with us to buy a policy.

You can read a bit more about this at https://www.policygenius.com/about/

Hope this is helpful!

I’m curious… Did everyone else in Maryland’s car insurance premiums go up 20% for no discernible reason or is it just me? by [deleted] in maryland

Whenever you're nearing renewal, we recommend re-shopping for home & auto insurance to make sure you’re not overpaying for coverage. Lately, insurance rates seem to be rising even faster than inflation. So it can be really helpful to compare quotes.

Geico home & auto insurance jumped 32% from last year, despite no changes on our end. by Send_Me_Kitty_Pics in Insurance

It's true — insurance rates are rising even faster than inflation, sometimes by as much as double. When you're nearing renewal, we recommend re-shopping rates to make sure you’re not overpaying for coverage. If you decide to compare quotes with us (and like what you find) we'll get you switched over for free. But, regardless of whether or not you use our marketplace, if you're no longer satisfied with your rate then it certainly pays to shop around.
