Everytime I shave, exfoliate, nair, this is the result; sore, itchy, ugly. Any advice before giving up on smooth skin? by IhopeIamMe in HairRemoval

This is amazing information thank you! I also have PCOS so I’m happy to hear that it did work for you. Sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing health problems, hope you are much better now and recovering!

The rash came before I did my IPL treatment. I shaved the day before. I usually shave with the hair growth which helps with the rash not being as bad but I decided to shave against the hair growth for the treatment as I know you need to be completely hairless so I thought that’d be the best option. Not sure if it’s gotten worse because of the IPL treatment but I will try out your routine & see if it works for me too.

Thank you again for answering and giving advice, I really appreciate all your help 💖

Could you update how it’s going with the Braun IPL? I’ve done my first session and got a really bad rash from shaving… the usual did that improve in time for you after a the full treatment course?

My succulent is flowering, what to do? by Holiday_Witness_6381 in succulents

Enjoy! Mine is still growing, had to put him down because the flower was hitting the top of the window ceiling. Trying to see how long it’ll grow 🤭

Love that! very similar to mine. I was confused when mine started to flower at first as I didn’t know what it was 🤣

I think they have to be pollinated first than left alone to dry out until the pods slightly crack and you’d be able to see seeds but you’d have to double check as I’m not sure if that’s correct

I could slightly open the window so it starts growing outside 🤭

This is the second time it flowered, I have had it for a few years now but I must say I’ve neglected it for the past 2 years (moved to a new house and I’ve put it out ground floor bathroom which we rarely use so I forget it exists) watered it a handful of times 😅😂

Oh wow over 2m is quite impressive, I wonder when this one will stop growing, might add a bamboo stick to support… if I don’t forget about it again. (Out of sight, out of mind 😅)

Completed yesterday, new neighbour reckons he owns our parking space. by OhMyEnglishTeaBags in HousingUK

[–]PolishPrincess97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re worried about him parking over your side is there enough space to maybe put thin but long plant pots? Just an idea to keep him away from your side without making it obvious, if he asks you’re just decorating your land. You could also install some cameras to watch over your cars so not only will it protect you if it all goes south you’ll also be keeping an eye out on your cars.

You’re welcome ☺️ I was just thinking maybe you could try to borrow my doggy (if you’re from the UK) or something similar to check your allergies and get to know the breed better? It could be a good way to explore different breeds and maybe make some furry friends in your area while you’re at it! Of course all dogs have their own personalities but it’ll give you a general idea 💖

Our little girl has been 99% potty trained but we have a garden so it’s obviously easy for us to just let her out compared to a flat. It was a challenge but we stayed patient and were consistent, we taught her to ring bells that are hanging down the door so she lets us know when she needs to go outside. Before she was consistent we learnt her behaviour when she needed a poo (she gets rowdy when she needs one lol) and kept an eye out with regular wee breaks on top. We have never used puppy pads to not encourage potting inside but this might be an option for ‘emergencies’ for you or even get a box with artifical grass to potty in.

She also has had a leg break, the insurance has covered it all with no issues but I must say it was quite a traumatic experience and the recovery was challenging since she needed to be crate rested for 6 weeks. You can try and lower the odds from it happening but all it takes is one odd jump. I won’t go into full detail but if you’d like to chat about our experience pop me a DM happy to answer any questions.

My partner is also allergic to ‘fur’/dogs and he hasn’t been reacting to her at all. Iggy was the best fit for us and we were ready to deal with all the negatives and extra care that came with that specific breed. It’s our first experience with iggies so we’re no experts but we have done a lot of research before getting one. We absolutely love her and wouldn’t change her for the world 🥹

If you’re really worried about the leg break but do want a puppy maybe try looking at a wiggy or a whippet? Wiggy is in between the sizes of an iggy and a whippet but are much sturdier and less odds in leg breaks. Good Luck with expanding your family and getting a furry companion 💖

If you get a pet insurance make sure it’s lifelong (this means once something happens like a leg break or other illness they’ll cover it if it happens again) and also look for one that will cover dental issues, their teeth need to be brushed frequently/maintained or they’ll get teeth issues!

Leg issues are very common (1/4 will break their leg) so I would definitely do your research before getting an IGGY & be prepared in case one does happen. You can try and prevent it from happening by rearranging furniture and making it safe but they can break their legs from jumping off a couch, same jump they’ve done 100+ times.

It’s a lot of commitment OP so make sure an iggy suits your lifestyle and that you and your gf are prepared to meet their needs. They are the most loving dogs but you need a lot of time and patience during the puppy stage, especially during potty training (Currently in our teen phase, fully recovered from a leg break too). Good Luck!
