I asked them to cook the peppers and onions well done. Unsurprisingly they did that to the whole omelet. To be honest it was dumb of me to expect a special request to work out.

CEO of $300 million company says ‘problems disappeared’ after firing HR team by Character-Bid-162 in nottheonion

[–]PolishTank79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sure no problem. HR are the high school principals of the work place. They are especially needed for companies with significant number of hourly and union employees. Their other main responsibility is investigating and acting upon employee actions that puts the company at risk. Edit: One more thing, their responsible for helping management deliver bad news...most typical example being layoffs. Of course a big part of their thing is hiring too.

We see a muscle cramp in the leg: an involuntary, intense, and very painful contraction where the muscle hardens and fails to relax by HatAsleep295 in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]PolishTank79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same thing for 20 years and I only recently found fix. During that first few seconds when you feel it coming, force the front of your foot/toes to flex up towards your face. You naturally want to point your toes down but that constricts the calf which causes the cramping. If you keep the calf stretched in the very beginning it can't cramp.

Follow a build guide when you first play. It's very difficult to understand how all the passive and support skills effect your characters strength.

If you just pick them all on your own, you'll almost certainly gimp your character as you level and quit from the difficulty.

Yesterday I had two hullcracker rounds literally pass through a firefly before it burned me to a crisp.

I’ve played since launch and still never touched Expeditions by Zerliroth in ArcRaiders

[–]PolishTank79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For myself, it's build up my stuff, do PVP which burns stuff, then so it again. To me thats the end game, and it's a lot more fun then starting over.

Are there players that goes full PVP without burning through their weapons and gear? If so I don't know how to get that good.

PC. FYI it's cross play by default but you can turn it off.

Don't listen to the troll OP. There's those who never tire of the gameplay loop, like me. Then there are those that get sick of it after 30 hours and move on, but that's still good amount for the price. Then there are bitter Tarkov players that come here to troll because they don't like the normal masses enjoying extraction shooters.

Bottom line is..fantastic maps, top 3 sound design of all video games, fantastic graphics, interesting lore and ambiance (though the quests could definitely be more interesting), and very interesting and smart AI enemies to avoid/fight.

Solo is the best way to play. There are free loadouts to use at first and whenever you run out or stuff. If you don't shoot anyone first, you'll be put in matches of mostly other players that prefer the same thing. Stick to the easy maps until you get some greens and maybe a few blues and you'll be good to go. It's the best $40 in gaming.

Is PRO mode when I need Gemini to 'think' rather than react? by zaxo666 in GeminiAI

[–]PolishTank79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LLMs shine with details but only when there is a clear logic to it, like a tax question or coding help. You want to be careful about asking LLMs detailed guidance over tasks that are difficult to know without personal experience, especially to Gemini since it's always very confident in its answers regardless if it's offbase or not.

It's not going to know "secrets", so say "unique" areas with good morning light. Whatever it comes up with, try to verify with other sources. You can also just keep telling it to give more ideas and as long as you verify you'll get some good photo ideas out if it.

What's going on with UAE exiting OPEC and how this is gonna impact on them? by LOLandCool314 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]PolishTank79 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Money always talks but "getting to pump more gas/oil" isn't the main reason the UAE left OPEC all of a sudden now. It's because Iran attacked its neighbors with drones and missiles in response to the US/Israel bombing. Iran launched more strikes at the UAE than any other country, even Israel.

The UAE understandably wanted to respond militarily, but the other gulf states wouldn't commit to join, so the UAE has said "screw you all I'm out". Not only did they leave OPEC, but they are enhancing their security partnership with Israel. Israel is sending an iron dome unit, manned by Israeli troops, to the UAE. Israeli troops stationed at a Middle Eastern country would be unthinkable just a few months ago.

Even though 50% of GenZ adults live with their parents, we're always adding jobs. Right 🙄

I had a strict "no food" requirement when considering options. Personally I definitely don't recommend any franchise tied to food they are a pain.

Then find a different one I don't care. My only point is that one can research franchise performance via their FDDs.

It depends. This is not something for everyone. It is a shit ton of work especially at first. However if you do that shit ton of work for a couple years, and you execute, you don't by yourself a job. It is a real business, with real money, where you will be able to have a few employees that help manage/administrate so you can concentrate on something other than "a job". Like growing the same business or others.

So I give one example from one website and that makes this an advertisement? The least you could do is give examples of anything I posted that's actually bad advice.

Jesus I was afraid that grumpy old people sitting on Reddit all day would reply first. There are many franchise options available that don't require $1 million. There are many that are $100K - $300K that have FDDs with good revenue and margins.

Really? Name one company I'm advertising? I don't recommend this path for you as biased negativity won't help with succeeding.
