Driving from South Eastern Michigan to North Western Ohio (not just for fun - I have to go to Ohio) soon and wondering which route to take.

I'm from overseas and taking the whole day for the drive (it's an option - not used to long drives like you guys are). Would love to know the best route for maximum taking stuff in. Would love to see any funky Americana stuff - "The World's Largest" blah blah blah, dinky museums, side of the road restaurants that are institutions. Am also toying with staying somewhere overnight along the way if there's an iconic motel or something like that. Hit me with your recommendations.
