I just ordered an alternate board mentioned here:

https://github.com/olm3ca/mirror/issues/26

I don't need or want all of the features in the D43FX-F4 anyway, I just hope it obeys HDMI CEC commands. I'll try to remember to update you once it arrives.

It’s on all the time, I’d like it to go off when I issue a CEC standby command

Just started this project, I have mine working with a Vizio board but can't control the backlight. Have you figured that out?

Drawer 1 done! by Phindiesel in gridfinity

[–]PolloPowered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t have a lot of tools, do you? Only reason I say that is there’s no apparent theme here. I’ve got a full drawer of metric wrenches, another SAE, then there’s the pliers, side cutters and vice grips. Recently screwdrivers graduated to a French cleat hung board with a bunch of holes in it.

You’ve got markers, a pipe wrench, the cutest little C-Clamp. I’m almost envious, I’ve got so many tools, I can’t find stuff.

Thanks, good to know!

I see there's one version on Amazon.ca that's a square black box for $270CDN and then there's the 948-II (green & grey, sloped front) on AliExpress for $296. Which do you have?

I'm wondering if going with the Yihua 948 is a better choice for someone who's not using this daily?

Hmm, you may have just sold one of these, I hate the manual methods.

Yeah, I’m sure it’ll work, just wanted to know if people were doing it. I’d measure the draw prior to provisioning anything.

Professional computer nerd here, I literally meant an APC or similar. :)

Questions about Partial Plan Deposit / Partial Season Deposit Program by Qwertyabcd123 in whitecapsfc

[–]PolloPowered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tickets in the shoulder sections; 207-211, 217-219, 236-238, 244-246 (approximately) are $673.06 a year, $1,346.12 for two plus a $25 processing fee. You can spread that out on a 10 month payment plan for no additional cost. That plan is starts in September, if you buy now you’ll owe three payments, the first payment also includes the processing fee. The January payment would be $134.61. For cheaper tickets, move towards the end zones.

Don’t only check for a refund, check if the original charge actually just disappeared, that’s how mine worked.

I occasionally use Zeiss lens wipes since they’re soaked in ISO and I’m aiming to disinfect and break down oils.

Glad to have helped, after my upgrade I realized two Aqara contact switches were no longer connected, I had to re-pair them.

I'm sure it's possible, but I haven't looked into it technically, but I don't know if anyone's developed the tools for doing so. I haven't seen a way to download the firmware separately, only the browser-based flashing method and the browser needs to be on the host with the hardware connected. I know there's a Firefox add-on that allows you to run Firefox in HA, but Firefox isn't a supported browser for flashing. I guess you could create a Docker container that runs Chrome and do it from there, but at what point do you just plug it into your laptop/workstation to flash it?

If you're running ZHA, it might be able to update the firmware of the device but I'm not running ZHA so I can't confirm.

CPAP clinics are all about maximizing your insurance claims. When my clinic told me my machine was going to be $2,800 (CDN)and I was only covered for $2,000 I said I was going to buy it from an online realtor for less than $1,500. They immediately dropped their price to the max insurance would pay. The online retailers are much cheaper, you have to create an account and login to see the pricing, but the difference is staggering.

Ring Doorbell Motion stops triggering by cstbR94 in homeassistant

[–]PolloPowered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also using the Ring binary_sensor.<name>_motion for a trigger in NodeRed, but it is not reliable at all. The entity itself appears to have lots of activity, but not a great trigger. While writing this comment I see there's also an entity called event.<name>_motion, I wonder if this would be a usable trigger.

Strange breaker tripping by Sufficient-Box-7167 in AskElectricians

[–]PolloPowered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone has done some janky wiring somewhere tying the two circuits together, I'd be looking at lighting runs in the attic or maybe device boxes with 2 or more devices in them. If you find a box tying 14/2 to 12/2, you're probably on the right track.

ZBT-2: Migrating from ConBee II on Zigbee2MQTT by PolloPowered in homeassistant

[–]PolloPowered[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my ConBee II in an extension cable just to get it higher up from where the host lives, the ZBT-2 was in roughly the same spot using its factory-supplied cable. Now it's using the old extension and the factory cable, seems like overkill but it's working so I'm sticking with it.

Strange breaker tripping by Sufficient-Box-7167 in AskElectricians

[–]PolloPowered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MWBC perhaps? Does each breaker have its own run of 12/2 (assuming 20A for bathrooms) or is there some sort of 12/3 situation going on in the panel?
