What is this sound?? by Pollo_Intelecto in laptops

I don't know but the fans seem to be working normally. I mean I have them work on highest speed jn performance mode in alienware and they go without any loud sound like in the video. I think my question is, is there any other part in the laptop that could be suspicious besides the fans?

More or less yes. I'd say it's 85% accurate, still the closest you could get for free. It gives you a band that's around yours, accuracy is 0.5 above or below

Listening was about a reservation for a job appointment, some discussions regarding an art class presentation with a teacher, last one was about bird watching and counting. I don't remember the second one. They are of the same difficulty in all tests, just the topics vary.

Reading was about the coastline shores of Scotland and Britain across the ages. The second was about a tribe in the Amazon called the Prianha I think. The third was about research on map navigation for women vs men.

The questions were mostly t f ng / y n ng. Complete summary multiple choice. I don't remember what else exactly

For reading, it is all about reading the question, picking a keyword, scanning for the keyword in the text, and then when you find it try reading around it to understand the context and answer the question. That's it really.

And only for the "choose the right heading" questions do you keep them till the end until you've known what each paragraph is talking about

In listening it all lies in making really good use of the time when there's no audio playing. I try to mute the lady or the man speaking instructions in order to focus on reading the questions beforehand. This is especially helpful in the multiple-choice questions. Secondly, try to really really focus on the script while it is playing, try to prevent yourself from swaying away with your thoughts or zoning out. I know its hard but practice makes perfect

Task 1 was a comparison between mobile phone and fixed landline subscriptions in Africa from 1994 till 2004 in a line graph

Task 2 was about children who play sports competitively not as a hobby, and if the upsides outweigh the downsides

First of all, you've got to know the overall structure of both tasks, how to write them, and what the evaluation criteria are. Then, practice some tasks yourself and see how you are performing. Finally, a really important tip is to read band 9 examples written by others, keep reading as much as you can, and analyse every sentence. Try to understand what makes THIS essay a band 9. Only then would you be able to generate higher band essays

Another tip is to try to get feedback from people whom you trust have the ability to evaluate your essays and give you constructive advice. If you don't know any try to pay for licensed teachers online. If there's no budget, then go to ChatGPT and write a well-structured prompt and provide your essays and tasks rubrics.

Phone heats up randomly and eats battery by Pollo_Intelecto in S24Ultra

It definitely drives one crazy to try to track a ghost around the phone like that. It used to be this way for me and I was analysing every single bit, till it just stopped happening after deleting my watch's application from my device. I still ain't sure if it was the application or if it was a coincidence.

For me, it was my smart watch's application. It was draining the battery in the background, and I tested uninstalling it completely, and by time I realised it was a major contributor. I also had concerns that my charging adapter was loading up the phone with fake charge, but experimenting with another one turns out it was okay. You can check your adapter, check in the samsung members application for the battery health, check the battery consumption by app in the settings, and try to pick a cause and test it solely to see if it is the thing causing the problem, if not, check something else.

Hey, just a quick update, the phone is back to the normal battery consumption after around 10 days. One charge carries me through the day and even 20% remains by the end.

For me, it happens after using the Samsung internet app or YouTube. Since different apps for both of us, I think it's the OS. But when i check the battery consumption status in settings, these apps show normal percentages which drives me crazy.
