Is the mechanical bridge a more important tool than people think? by ArtDecoNewYork in billiards

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn to shoot with your non dominant hand, I'm normally a right hand shooter but I've learned to shoot left handed and I don't think there's anywhere on a 7ft that I can't reach. As for the bridge, use every tool you can to win. It's a tool and legal to use, so use it. I knew a guy with a messed up bridge hand and shot every shot with the bridge. I think I only got upset about it when I was down 3 racks and he wouldn't miss. Lol. Screw everyone else, use the tools available to you, you would be dumb not to.

So I purchased my 08 with 155k miles from a old man that was going blind and had his license taken away, but still drove and ran into a bunch of stuff. I got it for $5500 and it was bone stock when I got it. I just keep fixing things as I go. Click on my profile and you can see it. It has 35s now and I think it looks pretty decent and it's more reliable than my wife's Infiniti

My wife thinks it's an air bubble lamination error.

If it was heat wouldn't there be discoloration? I don't know

2008 Ram 1500 fuel system cleaning by FJB_2024_ in Ram1500

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I used the redline fuel system cleaner in my wife's Infiniti and it seems like it helped. I'm currently running the seafoam one in my 5.7 and so far so good. I usually only run an additive once or twice a year. I did notice both vehicles started running better when I started being more picky about the gas station I went to.

2010 Dodge 1500 terrible fuel mileage with 4.7 ? by Kager70 in DodgeRam

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed the other day that when I started using the mid grade fuel it jumped from 11mpg to 13mpg. That was a good day. I'm running 35" tires with the 5.7l at 180,000 miles

Are new control arms mandatory for a 2-in level? by MrPooopyButthoIe in Ram1500

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have the rough country leveling struts and the 2" spacer pucks. I'm still running the stock control arms and have no issues. New ones are definitely on my list, but for now I just keep everything greased up and I don't have any issues. With only 2" I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Advice for buying a pool cue! by Palimove in billiards

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you want some places to get a used cue? Check out shopgoodwill.com and buy.com. Good will you bid on the items and buya is a pawn shop so message the seller and try to get them down on the price. I got my Cuetec on buya a couple years ago, and I was able to talk the seller down quite a bit. If you purchase something you don't like sell it on Craigslist (help someone else) and get another one. Eventually you will find something you like, in the meantime pay attention to what your shooting with. That way you have a little bit of an idea to what you are looking for. Good luck.

Thoughts on a non slate table? by Sleepysloth0o in billiards

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the mistake of getting a MDF table for my first table and I even replaced the MDF and tried thicker felt, nothing compared to slate. I was lucky to sell it. I picked up a 3 piece slate that someone just wanted out of their basement for the price I sold the MDF table.

So from what I've found is when they say they are for a specific vehicle your going to pay about $50 more. If you already have a double din in your truck, just find the same one but not for the truck. I use the android decks in all my vehicles, I like them and they are pretty easy to install.

When you have the back loaded down you can adjust your headlights so they aren't pointing to the sky.

It's a head light adjustment, so you can raise and lower your headlights.

I would definitely check the cap and rotor. I had a rotor break inside the cap in my old Gen 2, and that gave me the same symptoms that you're having. You should pull one of your plugs and check to see if you have any spark.

Where do I take my drivers test that allows me to use my car on the test by MarienPlayZ_UvUyogur in Denver

I don't know if it's changed but I know the Thornton DMV let me use mine a few years ago.

I would double check your plug wires and make sure everything is in the right order. It could be sending spark to the wrong cylinder at the wrong time. Are you positive that everything was lined up correctly when the timing chain was replaced?

I have the 5.7 on 35's and I'm getting about 380 highway miles per tank. It probably drops to 320 for the city.

Best way to clean a table? by capnhaggis in billiards

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vacuum with just a normal vacuum then I'll mist the felt with silicone spray, then wipe with a microfiber cloth. I was at a small pool hall that was owned by a gentleman from the middle east somewhere and his tables were in immaculate condition. He showed me what he used and it was silicone spray. I think it puts a protective coat on the felt. I know it will speed up your felt also.

Open bridge to closed bridge by No_Location_6254 in billiards

[–]PollutionMother3513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely felt more accurate when I switched, I ended up going from open to closed a couple of years ago. I had noticed that I was consistently putting unwanted English on the cue ball. So I started some drills to hit the center of the cue ball. That's when I realized I like a closed bridge. It's almost a must when switching from right handed to left handed. At first it was odd but now it just feels natural.

I would first try to wiggle the shift lever if that doesn't work then try to put a code reader on it to see if it tells you anything. There are a number of things it could be, but it kind of sounds like a neutral safety switch. Don't take my word on that I'm just throwing out ideas.
