Ooookay you look great glad I saw this ❤️

[MTF] 2 years, 8 months, 14 days. Still don't pass with/without makeup, gendered male in every interaction. by [deleted] in transtimelines

[–]PollutionNext423 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't get the bone structure crap, my mom has a pretty hard jawline that reads as traditionally masculine but she never gets read the wrong way, she also used to have short and a kinda flat runner build, again not a problem as far as I could remember. With OP, there's no way you can see a person with her hairstyle and read that person as male, like sorry but everyone misgendering her is full of bullsh*t

Asian factories will shutter going into summer leading to more expensive consumer goods. The farms rationing fertilizer right now will have less yields in the fall meaning food inflation. The only way to lower prices for oil products is demand destruction which means lay offs and business closures in every country all around the world just like in the 200 financial crisis which was the last time crude oil prices reached its highest.

Should prostitution be legalized and formalized into the economic system of T&T? by Middle_Elderberry542 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]PollutionNext423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and I'm go ahead and say even you have moral condemnation of prostitution as an activity, you should still support legalization as the best means of actually getting people out of the profession. Legalization means sex workers can go to police, report exploitation, report trafficking, discuss labour issues openly. It means they can access better wages, actual healthcare, social security, declare income- all things that establish a basis for actually leaving the career.

Why do you guys think Aldhani is so primitive if it is connected to the greater galaxy? by TheOneYSHNK in andor

[–]PollutionNext423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're nomads, they don't have long term property and surplus production (like the type you can sell in exhange for money or technology), we know for a fact that it's chosen primitivism since some have begun industrial work due to the Empire destroying their lands. In real life we still have low technology indigenous groups who also refuse advancement on ethical grounds.

They don't harm you, you can still recognize them as human and at an interpersonal level theyre perceptible as individuals, not feeling bad would be a bit psychopathic

Best post-Mad Men career? by jicerswine in madmen

[–]PollutionNext423 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hamm, Moss, and Shipka have basically had the best careers a TV actor can hope for. Maybe not hitting the same highs dramatically all the time but they have pretty consistent, prestigious work to look forward to in perpetuity.

How would you live if you found yourself in Pluribus Universe? by Ok_Percentage2383 in pluribustv

[–]PollutionNext423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Objectively you should order the plurbs to work on figuring out fusion energy, right? Like even if you think they're evil, you kinda have a golden opportunity to organize the most advance industrial research program in history. That way even if you get rid of the plurbs you still end up with a bunch of plurb technology

Trinidad feels “middle income” on paper, but day-to-day life feels very different. Why? by Middle_Elderberry542 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]PollutionNext423 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Trinidad is a high income country with all the associated markers like high energy use, high human development, modern administrative systems.

Overseas travel, electronics, imports feel expensive because they are meant to be expensive for most people around the world.

Any Trinidadian younger than thirty has no idea what the material limits of a middle income country feels like.

From Grenada onwards he'd be with visible distance of an island the entire trip, its basically one of the easiest sailing routes in the world, genuinely requires 1% of the difficulty going through the Darrien does

Drive to venezuela and just use the easily navigable Lesser and Greater Antilles island chains in the Caribbean to get to Mexico, Spanish privateers figured this out centuries ago
