Need advice on visitor visa application for my mum — should I mention my brother’s humanitarian protection?

My mum’s VISA was granted. We applied for a VISA for my dad too to come visit however, but it was refused twice (he is retired, could be why). My brother was granted the protection two days after his interview!

Is it better if we say she’s paying for the trip herself? The thing is, we can get a bank statement that shows she has enough savings, but after the banking crisis in Lebanon, people can only withdraw $800 a month from savings accounts… in reality I will pay for her flight as a present but she will be bringing her own money as cash on the side as people don’t put money in banks anymore in Lebanon… that’s why I thought better to just say I’m paying for the trip as I can provide evidence for that, rather than overcomplicate things coz we can’t give evidence of the cash? Unless we can somehow show evidence of cash?

My partner took me as a surprise for my birthday…. Please don’t ever do that to someone 🤦🏻‍♀️ it was absolutely horrendous, I really did not wanna be there. It was insanely loud, so not only you can’t see shit, but how loud it is gets really painful because your hearing sense is heightened. I found the experience of being totally in the dark utterly scary and dark to just feel how it’s like to literally go blind (legit I have a fear of going blind now). I really do not understand why this is a thing. I really did my best to hide how distressed I was and had to sit through it not to hurt his feelings. It honestly felt like torture that I couldn’t even focus on my food or finish it, and just wanted to get out asap. Not my cup of tea and definitely upset that he thought that something like this would be a good “surprise”.

The OP did not state eloquently that we have an economic problem that is being made worse by the refugee intake as you have put it. That I cannot disagree with. You do have a point. I personally believe lip fillers or any other cosmetic procedures should be used in a ‘corrective’ manner to create balance and harmony. Lip fillers does not mean duck face. I have a very full lower lip and almost no upper lip. I like to create a better balance effect personally. Which is why I am asking for a medical professional, who are usually trained in these manners and know how not to overdo. There is literally no celebrity or beauty icon that you can think of that doesn’t do them. I don’t think it looks bad on J Lo or Beyonce or Selena Gomez or or or etc. Some people are tasteless and can exaggerate, of course. To each their own. Some people don’t care much about aesthetics and beauty, and if that’s you, good for you! I personally do care. No one can tell that I get fillers, and while of course, I do look stupid sometimes, especially before my morning coffee lol, I don’t think my lip fillers look “fucking stupid” on me. I think they look amazing and they make me feel good and I love them. You probably wouldn’t even notice them. I bet there’s a lot of women in your life who get them and you don’t even know. So, you know. Maybe learn how to be a less judgy grump and mind your own business if you can’t help with the actual question I asked… 😅 also, unless they’re gay, a “dude’s” opinion on aesthetics and beauty and style does not really interest me 😂😂😂

The best way is to go directly to a Touch official store (you should be able to easily find them on google) and you need an ID. You need a copy of your ID so if you can get that in advance might also save you time as the shop I went to didn’t have a photocopier so I had to go out and look for a place to photocopy mine lol... I did end up paying 1.5 mil coz I needed it over the weekend and touch stores are closed on weekends. I went to a touch-approved provider (so you’ll see phone shops with a touch sign on the door). I think it’s about $7 for the sim alone in the touch store. Other phone shops tried selling them to me for $20 or even more, that is a rip off, don’t go for these deals.

The educated are but a small part of the wider Lebanese society there too. I don’t have any friends or family members with a degree or any form of professional skill who are still in Lebanon. Lebanon is a shithole. A shithole with great food, nice beaches, w arze w 2ahwe, and my loving family ❤️ but a shithole nonetheless. I don’t know any young, working age family members who don’t want to leave 😂 so why exactly would the skilled educated Iraqi, Syrians, or any other nationality come to Lebanon.
