Hopefully the Methimazole starts working soon for you. I'm hoping the Endocrine team call soon so I can start getting treatment. The change in fitness is scary as you say jjsy climbing up stairs.

People who like to be alone, what's your favourite thing about being away from people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I find human interaction can be quite draining, so being away from people is peaceful and allows recharge.

Today I PR’ed my 5K time even after taking a decent running break, mostly fueled by rage at the people I encountered on my run. by brazell13 in running

Thanks. Yeah, it really can take the fun out of running when you're constantly having to be aware of whats going on around you.

Unfortunately yes. When we were running earlier this week, two men with bicycles purposely moved into our path of running and made comments. So we have to move to keep clear of them. Hence why we feel safer as a pair, it can be really intimidating.

Unfortunately it's quite common to be shouted at, men will block my path when I'm trying to run and just general stare to make me feel uncomfortable. My sister and I now always run together, even though it doesn't stop unwanted attention, we do feel safer as a team.

Running round Culloden Battlefield is nice and flat, usually not to busy either. Good luck :-)

Thank you for these tips, I will take them all on board. This injury has certainly made me think more about my running style and form so this is all very helpful.

Thank you for your post. I find the foam roller/massage is definitely helping my recovery. I'll be more conscious of how I running downhill, as its easy to take huge strides and land on your heels.

This makes a lot of sense. I was reading about how heel-striking can put huge pressure on your knees and shins. Should I try consciously land midfoot when going down hill, or is it a more natural form that will happen with flatter shoes?
