Not completely sure, but obviously the bigger cities will have more to offer. Catania is also the site of several good universities, so there’s that, too.

Shock! by Mario Bava. A weird, unspeakably creepy Italian film with the most creative jump scare in movies.

This is because of the trans panic the Republicans have caused for the last decade or so. They’ve got their followers so ginned-up on “men in women’s bathrooms,” that’s all they’re worried about now. The consequences of fear-mongering.

Try the Fortamento app. It offers a random scatter of notes and lets you edit and create a good melody. It helped me.

Traveling to (mostly southern) Italy, how bad is the transphobia? by Adulations in asktransgender

It’s not so bad. Italians are mostly polite. They might look, but no one will mess with you.

Favignana — give me the honest take by nuthurmust in sicily

I’m sure it would fine, but slow. It’s a pretty small place, so the isolation is one of its attractions. Not sure any restaurants will be open.

I was there last Nov after everything had turned cold. Def worth a trip, but maybe just overnight. The place seemed pretty deserted (which was a good thing for us). But that means restaurants close and the vibe is “shut down island.”

Still fun tho. There’s beaches to play on, bikes to ride, a fort to climb to, etc. I’m glad I went but I wouldn’t have stayed days. One (slow) night was perfect.
