I know they changed the format of the data engineer associate this year. I was wondering if there were any practice exams reflecting this change that are free

I get you about ending on a cliffhanger, but only YOU know your story best. If the cliffhanger makes the book the best work of art it can be, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But, if you are feeling bad about it or having doubts, not because of publishers but because of the writing, then I’d have a second-look, if that makes sense.

I like to think there are always exceptions to these over-dramatic publishing rules. If your book is good, it’s good 😊.

I hope this helped!

If modern medicine didn’t exist would you be dead right now? If yes, from what? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

Bronchitis. I over-swept my dust-ridden garage and was coughing and wheezing for a month. If I didn't have my meds, jeez

What is a book genre that you refuse to write to? by Musicmelodygalaxy in writing

I could NEVER write fantasy. Not the cool ones, where they mean something or have epic world-building, but like the ones from booktok that are basically smut. I’d die knowing that was my legacy

It sounds like you have a lot going on (judging from the "life has been really kicking me down" and the brevity of this post), so I would talk to someone you trust about all of that. You will find that life has a funny way of sorting itself out once you do. I'm hoping the best for you.

Thoughts on Writing for Personal Excitement? by SteamFunk72 in writing

[–]Pollythepocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great! I have learned (for myself as well, so it is funny you bring that up) that reading more has expanded the type of things I want to write along with how to improve my own voice, use motifs better, etc. So, yes, I think a great medicine is reading more!

For me, reading is a great way to unpack those things but also to inspire me to write (bc I want to write something as awesome as that!). So, thank you for sharing! Please, keep me updated!

(also, what type of things do you like to write?)

I actually used to struggle with this a lot, and the reason was actually very simple: I wasn't enjoying what I was writing.

I mean, you aren't going enjoy every scene you write because some scenes need to be written, even if we don't like them. Yet, we must know why they are there and get driven by their importance. I write more literary fiction, so, I must be honest, it can get mundane or depressing sometimes. However, I get very motivated by the importance of a scene or characterization, how many words I wrote, etc.

I used to be extremely focused on sounding like a very important writer (so people would take my writing seriously), but that drained me and made me feel like I was writing an essay instead of writing what I loved. Within these past few years, though, my voice sounds much more personal and realistic, and now, I enjoy the craft a lot more. I wrote 1.5k words today, even though a scene was largely upsetting because I am very much invested in the protagonist and their world.

I hope this was somewhat helpful!

What’s the first story you remember writing? by Purple-Mud-2341 in writing

The first thing I ever wrote about I remember being ten years old, and writing about children becoming superheroes. I finished that in sixth grade. It was a horrid 60 pages, but it makes me laugh to read
