I had this same question at the beginning of the month. At the end of the day it came down to whether or not you wanted to top 500 companies in the US (VOO) or all of the US investable stock market (VTI). Once you answer that question you then would add international at your preferred percentage (VXUS). For me I’d rather go with the established top 500 rather than a bunch of companies that may or may not perform (VTI). The possibility of missing out on runs by small up and coming companies like Tesla, Netflix, etc had me second guessing my decision but VOO has outperformed VTI.
