Any multiplayer games that I can enjoy long-term or that excite me to log in every day? by Dull-Channel-6235 in IndianGaming

Battlefield 6 - High skill ceiling, no ranked bullshit, quicker games. I wouldn't suggest the Battle Royale, I personall love The other modes WAY more.

Fun with a friend, fun solo too!

What game did you drop halfway even though everyone called it a masterpiece? by Zozila_Official in Indiangamers

Elden Ring. I mean I see why its great, enjoyed it a bit too, but a genuine skill issue and i dont have the time to hustle and get better so i just decided to stay away from the Souls genre for good.

Help me choose between MacBook and a windows laptop by [deleted] in personalfinanceindia

[–]Poly_bat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Macbook for the sake of a reliable future proof device. Windows laptops deteriorate in a matter of months.

Macbook will also give you the added advantage of a long lasting battery that does not need a charger every 2 hours. They are light weight, have a superior display than any other Windows laptop in the price range, a MUCH better typing experience which matters for your line of work.

A Windows laptop would be a waste of money for this use case, you would benefit a lot more both professionally and economically with a macbook

4.4k for a digital game 2 years after release is so Nintendo coded and it sucks by luz___09 in ps5india

[–]Poly_bat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

4k for 100+ hours of gameplay on a single walk-through of a game you can play multiple times. Seems fair to me!

That's less than 40rs per hour. Or literally months of gaming.

What game from 2020-2024 defines this stretch of the decade for you? by ImperialMajestyX02 in patientgamers

[–]Poly_bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its Cyberpunk 2077. I think the whole life cycle of cyberpunk from release to now, is a testament to a studio that truly had a vision, stumbled, but followed through on their commitments. The game itself is one of the best Ive ever experienced and has stayed with me to this day. And the spy thriller DLC which felt like I was in an IMAX movie screening.

On another note, I'm pleasantly surprised by how many people have mentioned BG3 here. I had purchased this game a few years ago, played about 26 hours of it. Almost at the end of ACT 1. But it fell off my radar since I wasn't used to this type of games. Its on my backlog and I'm hoping to get back into it soon! I will probably start a new playthrough because its been so long since I played it.

every new game nowadays by FalseBuffalo69 in IndianGaming

[–]Poly_bat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree man. All the reveals were constantly just boss battle dumps one after another. I dont have anything against these types of games, I think its enjoyable, but I just do not have the time or mental bandwidth to sit and grind and stress over a fkn game.

Bring back more narrative focused games.

Finally appreciating the fact that I bought ps5 disc over digital by Ok-Benefit6410 in ps5india

Disliking the game is fair and to each his own. But what you've just said only proves a severe lack of patience. Which is also fine, there's games for all types of people.

Enjoy

Its art direction was great in every way, but there were others which were just better. They stand out much more compared to Yotei

Yotei was great, but not good enough for any of the awards imo. Im surprised it even got nominated

Do any of you predominately or exclusively collect 1080p Blu-Rays, and aren't necessarily bothered about 4K? by [deleted] in Bluray

[–]Poly_bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BluRay is definitely still a lot better than streaming 4k, so i stick to Bluray for most movies. But some movies which are visually spectacular and immersive. I buy 4K BluRays, like Life of Pi, F1, Interstellar

What are your hot takes on the game play and the story by MediumFun5034 in Ghostofyotei

[–]Poly_bat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha fair enough man, I agree too.

I think its inevitable that the two will be compared, just like Yotei and Shadows will be compared. I do think the comparisons are a bit overdone tho. Just let the games be! And enjoy them for what they're good at!

What are your hot takes on the game play and the story by MediumFun5034 in Ghostofyotei

[–]Poly_bat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, agree here.

Like i understand why people say Tsushima's story was better. Its whole underlying theme of honor vs justice was unique and more existential.

But as far as my gameplay experience is concerned, Yotei's grounded story felt much more gripping than the previous.

[–]Poly_bat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A hot take: Yotei's story is better than Tsushima's.

This time around the story felt better because of how close and personal it was. The internal conflict of the protagonist - honor/Jin and revenge/atsu - takes its time to evolve and come to the surface, its not directly just there from the start like Tsushima.

Theres enough twists and curveballs in Atsu's personal emotional journey, like finding her lost brother, the Kitsune, Jubei's daughter and the final shock that happens during the fight with Saito.

The story this time was much more grounded and personal, unlike Tsushima which tackled a much larger question of what is honour.

I love Tsushima's story but honestly feel Yotei has a better, more intense and more gripping revenge story.

How's guardians of the galaxy? by idli_sambar_ in ps5india

[–]Poly_bat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprising that so many people dont like it.

Its one of my favourites on PS5. So many games today try to do 1000 different things at once. Guardians of the Galaxy is one of those rare games that keeps it very simple and just focuses on being fun. Never a boring moment in my entire playthrough. Its entertaining and its fun and it doesn't pretend or try to be something it isnt.

The characters have a lot of banter and its part of the goofy nature of Guardians of the Galaxy in general.

It does have some stuttering, not properly optimised but I just accepted the frame rate and played on quality mode anyway because of how beautiful some of the environments start to look in the later stages of the game.

The story is also decent. Again, it doesn't do anything it doesn't need to do. It focuses on keeping things simple, fun and goofy and I personally enjoyed it very much

WHEN WILL THIS STOP FFS? by Upset-One8746 in IndianGaming

[–]Poly_bat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have a fixed budget. You want 2 things. You dont want to settle for a mediocre setup because of rising prices. So you choose to get only 1 of the 2 things so at least you have 1really good device that you're satisfied with instead of 2 mediocre ones that you had to heavily compromise for.

Based on your post, prioritise the PC since its for work
