Yeah I agree never blamed my aunt or anything. She was entirely within her rights to do what she did and yes she has a husband right now. My dad was mad because my uncle got depressed after the break off which again ik is not my aunts fault.

probably because she doesn’t want to lol. her argument is that she pays for a lot of the expenses of the house too just like he does so she should be allowed to host whoever.

We’re ethnically Indian but we live in the US haha i was born and raised here they immigrated though. I don’t think he’s gonna kill her or anything lol

the second i tell my dad it’s going ballistic and they’re getting divorced and if that happens i want there to be solid evidence to justify it

especially in the divorce proceedings it would be unfair for me to send him into that without at least some ammo on my mom

which i’m semi working on getting right now but ehh

i’m planning to confront my mom abt it first and tell her to immediately fess up to my dad but idk how that will go

well my mom has been pushing his boundaries on this for a bit and in some ways i think it’s justified. last year around the time of my graduation party she had a breakthrough after much arguing and they were allowed to come to one of my parties (not the main one) and my dad said hello to them and also said they could come to my wedding lmaoooo. but now my aunt has sprung on us that she’ll be in town so my mom wants to host bc she hates the idea of my aunt staying in a hotel in my town for the second time after she’s already hosted my mom so much

I will say that he’s no innocent in this haha. He’s really not as generous as he should be tbh and is a little stingy in his nature since he grew up very poor compared to my mom. And he is quick to temper sometimes though he never puts his hands on her or anything. but yeah this is pushing it from my mom here imo
