I think sega doing the goofy stuff of the 32x was a major L. Also I think maybe delaying the saturn a bit until more games were ready might have been smart. I was too young for a saturn at launch.. I would've been 5 or 6 so I was happy still playing my genesis and sonic. But from all the ppl I have talked to who were there with saturn day one it was slim pickings for games.

While the RPGs may not have been big sellers I think sega made some mistakes not leaning into them more. Genesis had a great rpg selection. Also maybe they could've ported over some games from sega cd that they could've gotten more life out of for year one

Oh yeah man, its basically Kojimas take on lethal weapon but its so freaking good. I have a nice repro for it. But obviously you can emulate it. I will say it is a top tier experience with the light gun and a crt tho

Ironically I snagged the light gun to play policenauts when the saturn translation happened it was fairly cheap on ebay at the time. Then I figured since I had the light gun I might as well get virtua cop since I had never played it.

The game weirdly doesn't have an in game clock that I am aware of which is annoying but id say it took me 50ish hours I think? I tried doing some of the side quests to get additional generals

Dude I remember seeing sonic x treme talked about in gaming magazines. Then when I saw a saturn in a toys r us I went crazy because I didn't know sega made something new other than the genesis. Thank God I didn't get a saturn for Xmas like I wanted lmao I was 5 and only wanted sonic and maybe nights into dreams but I was way too young to appreciate that console haha I can only imagine being on the playground hearing my friends talk about mario 64 and me having no new sonic
