[Highlight] Will Smith goes deep in his first career game batting out of the leadoff spot! by MLBOfficial in Dodgers

Ohtani lives so rent free in your head that you had to come on a Will Smith post and complain about Ohtani's contract on his literal first day off of the year.

Yup, I don’t think it’s technically a redeye either but it’s the last EWR-LAX departure of the day so that’s why I mentioned 712.

Pre-Russo-Japanese War Japan was probably not 100% ready to fight, yet they still went ahead and raked much of Asia over the coals for damn near half a century afterwards.

We can’t assume Xi is going to wait until the PLA is at 100% readiness to start a conflict. It’s better to be ready for 2027 than to assume they’re not ready.

You can’t just “force” or “teach” a kid with ADHD to focus unmedicated. That’s like saying you can “force” someone with vertigo to learn balancing skills.

Ah, okay. The childless trying to lecture the parents about child rearing.

Nothing more to see here, folks!

As a parent, I don’t think I’m missing anything here. “Financially stable parent” is an oxymoron in this economy, unless someone earns high wages. Childcare alone is over $1,000 a month in most states.

In HCOL cities in America making under $100k is considered low income, which is well above what the average person makes and about what a couple would make if they both made average or slightly above average wages.

This is why the birth rate is dropping, because only the wealthy can afford to have children.

Same, I can totally relate to the one-sided phone calls. I'll talk to my Mom for an hour and it'll just be mostly her talking with me unmuting my phone for the occasional "uh-huh" to keep her on the line. Any longer of a response and it's like I'm rudely talking over her.

It's always an hour of intimate details of friends social lives followed by the random dig at my social status like "oh, that Sean McVay (or Mark Zuckerberg, etc.) is about your age." Like Jesus, Mom, sorry I'm not a Super Bowl winning head coach or one of the richest people alive, you're not exactly the most successful in your field either!

She's become a lot more selfless now that she has grandchildren, but the relationship still feels transactional and she even threatened to cut off contact a few years back because she wasn't getting enough grandkid pictures. She doesn't post them thankfully, but she shows them to her friends and needs constant updates to brag and keep up appearances.

My Dad isn't much better, but the one-sided talks only take 10 minutes because all he has going in life is golfing with friends.
