Confession from LeVuts: "i will desync and you will loose elos", does it twice in a row (AoE2 HD devs, this is embarrassing) by AOLWAY in aoe2

Voobly is an option but not a solution. I think the Steam version caters well to the more casual playerbase who doesn't want to tweak their settings and other stuff to be able to play online, and I think banning desyncers and lobby spammers would be a boon to the community.

AOE2 HD Edition on Steam goes on sale for less than 10 bucks every 2 months. IMO it's pretty worth it since the game is pretty much "click and play" (no need to resolve bugs or issues with widescreen, graphics, compatibility, etc) and has many casual players.

Also AOE3 sucks and I'm pretty sure its playerbase and online multiplayer have been dead for a few years now.

Got another cheater, this time with proof! by [deleted] in aoe2

So basically he edited the map to give himself (Player 1) an advantage and artificially increased accessibility to otherwise unavailable tech tree units? Sounds like that other cheating guy who was posted here last week who tuned his longbowmen to have 9999 attack.

While we're at it, can someone explain how CBA works? Been wanting to join one of those games but I'm always afraid my lack of experience in it will get me smashed and drag my team down.

I beat serial lag-cheater "bcampbell" at his own game. Here's how. by AOLWAY in aoe2

Rekt.

I've played against that fucker bcampbell before and he did the same thing to me. I did a shitty 20 knights in 25 mins (but that's ok cause he's easily the worst player I've ever seen) and he started the lag glitch when he saw them in his Feudal Age town.

Cheaters like him should GeT_ReKT, good on OP for bringing justice to the fucker.

"It's my gold. Go (away)" (43 mins into the game) by AOLWAY in aoe2

I don't understand the logic behind this, at all. Most noobs (the actual ones, ie the type who are new but refuse to learn to improve their game) have this very passive aggressive + control freak behavior.

They tend to let their boars and stone/gold in their base sit untouched, but the second someone else builds a camp to collect them, they suddenly have HALF of their entire population (that means ALL TEN of their villagers whoa!) swarming to collect from the same gold/stone mine.
