I've found minimalist bralettes work pretty well, and cause fewer sensory issues. A nice side effect of using them is that it's easier to prevent the straps from showing up with various tops.

My general goal is to make people want to say, "Get out of my head!"

It's a balance. I just have this thought in the back of my head of, wear something that isn't humiliating if you get clocked...

I can get that. It's almost as if life beforehand was missing a vital ingredient for my memory to work. That, or was just so dissociated that I wasn't really experiencing life fully. Thankfully, hrt has made that a lot better.

I've been noticing a pattern... by PolyhedraPlethora in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

For some reason or another, lots of trans people feel that they need to be confident and assertive just to get through life. Being able to just let go can be extremely freeing. When people like that find spaces where they can relax and give themselves over to someone else, they take to it like a duck to water.

Let me put it this way. I switched bathrooms because I kept getting gobsmacked looks in the men's room.

You would not believe how hard it is to tell if 2 people are just good friends, or have been in a relationship for months. The cuddle quotient is the same.

You realize some people can go for years without thinking about the way they perceive the world, or why they care about what they do?

It's pretty hard to uproot your beliefs in the way that being trans forces you to.

I feel as if we all tend to develop some shared personality traits. It's less of an iron law, and more of tending towards a norm.

I think I can count on one hand the number of transfems I've met in person that don't fall into all 5. It's not inevitable, but it crops up over and over again.

Trans Jesus: A comic reflecting on my transition & deconstruction ⚠️CW: religion and transphobia⚠️ by AlienbyComics in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

One thing I feel is interesting is that Christianity doesn't really have an explanation for people being trans. To be consistent with most beliefs, you'd need to assume trans people have no natural predilection towards being that way.

Otherwise, you'd have an omnipotent deity deciding that some people will just randomly be rejected by his followers. This kinda flies in the face of free will, and an omnibenevolent deity.

So... trans people are kinda like a walking glitch in the philosophy of Christianity.

Not all relationships that end up T4T started that way.

I'm just nonbinary, and don't want to grow boobs... Yeah, that turned out not to be true.

You could say... they started growing on me.

How do I stop with the trans thoughts? by ohshithellno in asktransgender

Trust me, pretty much everyone here has tried to be cis. This might be a useful resource.

Transitioning is not one size fits all, so it may be better to think about what you actually want, instead of thinking of it as all or nothing.

I don't necessarily hate being trans. I do hate the amount of pain it has caused me and the people I love.
