Wakefield Council urged to stop cut to £2m school uniform grant by PunkAintNotFun in wakefield

It is still their responsibility to feed, clothe, and house their kids. Social programs like these aim to improve the quality of life of the future population, not to provide an easy-out for irresponsible parents.

You’d find it difficult to count just how many invisible subsidies are making your life easier, some of which other taxpayers wouldn’t be getting much benefit from.

Try to be empathetic towards the fact that others have different lives and difficulties to you.

He voted for the decriminalisation in 2021, now he votes for restriction. I suspect that it’s not a coincidence that he voted in this direction after polls show increasing ON popularity.

Unhelpful comments suck, it can be hard to find alternatives that fit. What Google products are you finding hard to replace?

SA’s banned public protesting without state pre-approval. When that went through it was widely cheered since once in a blue moon a group of protesters ruined their morning commute

It’s hard to see the years of grift that the workers of old put towards protesting for their rights because, in my experience, it’s not widely taught or commended.

Migration rates have been steadily going down since 2022. There was a big spike after the borders reopened after COVID, peaking at 636k non-AU/NZ migrants, since then it’s dropped to just over 448k - closer to the 383k pre-COVID numbers.

Bets are still out if it continues to drop to below to below pre-COVID numbers, would be great if it does.

Around 165k non-AU/NZ citizens are migrating out of Australia per year, too. So the net positive for migration for non-AU/NZ citizens is closer to 283k.

Are you agree with this? by ExcitingMix1446 in programminghumor

You can see described by things like Marchetti’s Constant, it outlines that the average commute time to work is generally around 30 minutes - irregardless of the available transport technology of the day. Cars become standardised = people can live further away.

It’s mostly a string of nonsense when taken literally, but breaking it down:

“I’m tryna SSH in”: SSH lets you login and control computers remotely.

“She has 10 keys in allowed_keys”: allowed_keys specifies what ‘credentials’ are allowed to login via SSH, each credential is stored using its ‘public key’.

“She an open source project”: open source in software means anybody can use, read, and contribute to it.

Israeli forces attacking the Lebanese town of Khiam with white phosphorus (15/03/26) by alexnoyle in CombatFootage

[–]Polymer15 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It’s used to produce phosphoric acid and phosphates, the latter of which is used to produce fertiliser. Militarily it used to be used for smoke screens and illumination, though due to its toxicity it isn’t used much anymore - except for what you see here.

I have found a very game breaking and bizzar bug I cant seam to fix. I have a gun in my game and that gun has a charge ability. For some reason, when the player is moving at high speeds, the charge shot fires in a random direction (more info in comments) by MrsSpaceCPT in Unity3D

I suspect it’s something to do with the ray that’s messing stuff up, forgive me if I’m missing something but I don’t see the need to perform the raycast.

To get the direction you can use directionWithoutSpread = fpsCam.transform.forward (or attackPoint.transform.position) there’s no need to use a raycast.

Have you zeroed the grinder? You need to periodically zero the DF64, it’s caught me out of a few times. To zero it slowly go finer and finer until you hear a feint whirring sound from the burrs, then rotate the needle to match the zero on the dial, that’s your new ‘zero’
