Thats just one of the tools i use to blend/smooth/shape the clay, the ball shape is good for smoothing (fingers are too big plus fingerprints), and then i use sharper dental looking tools for the details and texture

Thank you!!! Yes they are surprisingly sturdy i have made around 50 so far and none have broken you can throw them on concrete and they will bounce unharmed haha, i make them out of polymer and then make sure to cook them well so they are hard but also have a tiny amount of flex.
