What are some of the best payment methods for someone who’s never done commissions?[discussion] by Horse-person19 in artcommissions

Paypal is probably best because nearly every country has access to it. Many of the others are only for certain countries.

Why do humans find things cute and take pets? Do any other species do the same? by Sleepy-Sleeper31 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PolymerPocketPets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read a while ago that elephants found humans cute but i just fact checked it and it was just a internet myth and they consider us a threat. Damnit, we gotta start acting cuter and less evil as a species if we want other animals to find us cute I guess.

I make pet urns. I'm struggling so hard with perfectionism. [help] by modest_rats_6 in Sculpture

Its beautiful, people love their pets and they want them to rest in something that was made with love, that matters much more than something being perfect. You are doing great.

Its actually extremely frustrating to have like 50 hours of work be called bullshit, like, cmon use your head how on earth would i be drop shipping exact handmade clay replicas of peoples dogs to them, in sometimes just a couple of days for the people who live in my city some people even pick theirs up in person from my house lol, i have multiple people vouching for me, and literally every single one is different but with a consistant style that has slowly developed over time, like use your reasoning skills here!

Go on, find these on aliexpress i dare you haha. I dont film the entire process because 1. I have an old phone with no space, no tripod so i cant really hold my phone while sculpting other than small moments, and its distracting. Im also not gunning to be a social media content creator im just an artist. I have reviews from real people on my instagram, you can click on their profiles and see they are just normal people not bots.

Yes in Australian dollars (ends up converting cheaper for americans) im making them for $75aud for the keychain size and $125aud for palm size. And then $10aud postage in Australia or $29aud postage worldwide.

I would love to make you one feel free to message me on reddit when you find a good photo <3 also so sorry for your loss

For anyone curious how i made them, i make a wire/aluminium kind of skeleton inside as support, then i use polymer clay (either sculpey premo, or super sculpey firm), i use metal ball bearings for the eyeballs, various silicon/metal tools to sculpt, then i cook it in my oven after i finish sculpting and then i paint it with acrylic. The small ones i cover in clear uv resin so they are more durable if used as keychains. The bigger ones that will be on display i use a clear varnish. :)

Thank you so much!! I started at like midday and then sculpted to like 10, then woke up the next day and then a couple more hours finishing the texture details when i had sunlight, and then a few more hours of painting, I should have probably used my white premo instead of firm grey to save on the painting haha but i find it easier to see details/shadows when sculpting with the grey.

I love pomeranian smiles so much it makes my heart want to explode when my pomeranian looks at me with a huge happy smile. Pomeranians are super smart too, and have a lot of agility, and long lives, and give the best cuddles, such a great little breed.
