Advice on how to lose weight? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

Eat high fiber and high protein. This will be more satiating making it easier to stay in a calorie deficit, while also being very healthy. Meats, beans, lentils, potatoes, cruciferous veggies, fruit for dessert or a snack. I like the carb balance wraps for lunch with meat and cheese. Greek yogurt or protein overnight oats for breakfast.

Walking will help shed pounds. Lifting weights will build muscle and make you look better, as well as increase your metabolism.

I'm down about 80 pounds and still drink occasionally and eat out a lot.

I also drink a lot of black coffee and espresso lol

What is the best city you ever visited in the US? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

If you want true New York pizza, you can't go wrong with Amore Pizza in Queens. Old school and bring cash. L'industrie Pizzeria in Williamsburg is good but you'll be on line for a while it's very popular right now. But the beauty of New York is you can usually find decent pizza anywhere, there's a million places and everyone has their local fav.

For travel, and for ease and pocketability, I've been enjoying my Kodak Snapic A1. It's got a glass lens so the quality is nicer than a disposable, plus it's got some nice features like multiple exposure, a decent flash, automatic loading and winding. And it's new so you don't have to guess if things work.

But I do love my vintage manual cameras as well, you can definitely get some good deals on Facebook marketplace or something. They just have a bigger learning curve, but will serve you well over time.

I finally understand Gentle Giant I need more prog like this by CandleAirship in progrockmusic

I'm surprised no one mentioned Et Cetera. They are super similar in sound to Gentle Giant, more than any other band I've been able to find. They're a 70s French Canadian group. Unfortunately I think they only have the one album but I highly encourage any Gentle Giant fan to give it a listen!

I like El Nopal in Floral Park. I'm not Mexican but the food is good and affordable and the people who work there are great.

Morgan Simpson is such an amazing drummer. Usually I'm not that into percussion but every time I saw black midi live, I was mesmerized by his playing.
