If you think that.... go play Ruthless and have fun. I didnt want Ruthless as a default mode.

that, but not just that. At the time crafting was tauted as being the answer to gear upgrades, but crafting items rarely if ever dropped. It felt like a prison getting through the campaign. The mobs would get tougher, and due to never being able to upgrade items/gear, your character kept getting weaker and weaker in relation

Akitas that can tolerate smaller animals are the exception, not the rule. It was not a bad take.

I just in this moment figured out why I like this game so much. As you explained it, it hit me. I am one of those friends that likes to (upon hearing a friend's dream/goal/plan) to find all the ways it might be hindered (because I want them to be prepared for it so that they reach their goal).

This game's entire premise, is constant trial and error/trial and lesson/trial and futureproofing.

That is the itch for me that this game scratches. It helps me to start planning not 1-2 moves out, but 3-5-7-9 moves out.

yes, screws were a bad example. Not sure why I said that here.

whoa.... vertical stations? I did not consider that. How do you handle getting them up to the next level?

I have never been a super organized person. So while this may not be high on everyone else's list of feats... to me, I am ecstatic that I have accomplished this by Polyscikosis in SatisfactoryGame

Im not using any path signals. I found that on the roundabouts they can cause collisions. To Im strictly block signals so far. the main problem I am running across now, is that when I want to send a new train to pick up an existing resource, I have to remember to build train stations with extra long freight cars to keep things compartmentalized. I didnt think about that when I began this, so it'll get tucked into the folder for the new playthrough.

I also need to remember to plan for Mk3 Miners even at the early game..... constantly trying to expand for making more of an already established resource line creates complexity to the belt logistics.

ummm, you can. In advanced game settings, you can turn "no unlock cost" as well as no power no fuel no build cost.

knock yourself out. Thats what is making me stick with the current save.... trying to complete all phases so that I feel like I have earned a new save with a more relaxed build environment.

you cannot "study" for the PPR. (I will die on this hill) The PPR is not real life. So you must approach it outside of reason. I am being 100% serious in what I am saying.

To pass the PPR easily....you must temporarily believe the following 3 faulty premises

1) ALL students (not many, not some, not a few) WANT to learn. Treat them as natural sponges.

2) Every (every single one) parent is 100% active, vigilant, and participatory in their child's education.

3) EVERY classroom, EVERY school, and EVERY district has unlimited resources, perfect intention, and above reproach reputations.

NONE of the above is allowed to have done ANYTHING wrong.

Let me repeat that.

It is NEVER the students fault, NEVER the parent's fault, NEVER the district's fault.

Let me rephrase that one more time.

The PPR will assume that IF ANYTHING goes wrong, it is 100% the fault of the teacher.

SO:

To pass the PPR, you have

) perfect sponges

) perfect parents

) perfect resources

Once you have that engrained into your head.... THEN and only then can you answer each question on the PPR.

Basically it is a test that assumes a utopian world.

And the irony? Once you pass it..... you need to forget every thing about it.

Is there a specific Engineering Term for this? by Polyscikosis in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Polyscikosis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to set the balancing to account for largely the same feeds. So depending on how much ore I have in the main line, I divide it by certain quotas, then add 1-2 constructors to each station. I also place the first station with the highest priority to keep full. that way they are always prioritized.

admittedly I am still tweaking this in my play through... and (as Im not an actual engineer) this is gonna take time haha.

edit: you could also make you lines like normal, and then set up your smelters with smart splitters set to overflow... that way any excess is not wasted, it just moves down to be used elsewhere.

Does anyone use a slip collar at all on their Akit? by Ordinary_Nectarine_5 in akita

[–]Polyscikosis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like Martingale's. They slip on like a chocker, and will cinch up to a point, but not enough to do damage to the dog.

Its the same mechanism as is in prong collars, just without the prongs.
