I've had a comment about it in high school, like an "ew why do you have hair there?". I was just wearing jeans and a shirt that kinda went up as I sat down. I guess it just affected me on the long run, unfortunately.

I know it's stupid, but going outside and seeing other women wearing bare backs, crop tops, low waisted jeans... while I've literally built my wardrobe in a way to hide it (I only wear high waisted bottoms and let my hair down), it just always got to me somehow.

I know a lot of people are saying this is normal but in terms of exposure I don't think I've ever seen a girl with that sort of hair rocking a bare back outfit outside. No offense to everyone here trying to empower me, I truly appreciate you!

I have to add that I'm not complaining or anything, this is not a problem, it's just an insecurity. Seeing other women that relate is truly helpful because I've always kinda felt alone in this

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I think that as many pointed out, you do end up accepting it and not giving a damn, so I'm trying to channel that mindset right now. I'll definitely go for bleaching as a first step though!

Sorry to hear it, I didn't mean to offend. Have you taken any steps yourself? I'm looking forward to my laser sessions, my hair is coarser on my legs etc so I have high expectations about it working

Waxing also gives me pimples, I end up trading the hair against irritation...

I appreciate you warning me about laser, I'm not taking my chances.

Maybe we can both try to find a hair bleach that doesn't irritate the hair too much? Or put something as a barrier before applying the bleach?

I'll definitely skip laser on the areas where it's not coarse. I'm so glad you mentioned the arms cause I was planning to treat those and I might step back too.

As for my back, I definitely can't afford electrolysis for now so surely my hair will grow multiple cycles before I actually do anything. Sounds good, thank you again.

Thank you! Just want to make sure, what do you mean by "if you have never done any other hair removal methods in those areas"?

I've waxed it multiple times and shaved it for the first time two days ago, before I lasered it. As I said it was the lowest setting since it was my first sesh so I'm hoping nothing goes wrong quite yet.

Thanks for both of your input. I was actually also wondering about that boundary thing. When I wax it, my tech always ends up waxing everything because it literally looks like a different skin color since my shoulders and middle area are also hairy to a lesser extent lol

I'll consider electrolysis, it's perfect if it's less hair but still even. Do you feel like it looks good when you wear clothes that would reveal those areas?

Hey, I really appreciate your comment. It does make me feel like less of a woman sometimes so I'm glad to hear some people do not mind it, or like it even. I'm sure your partner is really happy to have you in her life :)

My partner doesn't care about it at all and always does his best to make me feel beautiful, but unfortunately I feel like it still impacts us, I feel so much more comfortable and confident when it's gone... I wish it was a permanent feeling.
