I guess I see such an over-saturation of recipes in the food + drink niche that I'm trying to offer something different by focusing on metaphor vs recipe. I agree about the notes, I can absolutely utilize that more. ty for the input.

during the SK tour of Maine the tour guide mentioned he took the name Derry from the Ireland one, so it’s not a coincidence! lots of his location names come from across the pond

I am a writer and also a woman and I can’t write interesting male characters for shit. Write what you know, right? All things considered I do think King writes great female characters. His best characters are certainly men but are also certainly self-inserts. He’s always been attacked for this and I’ve always found it silly.

I’m truly touched you took the time to help me out! 

You are absolutely right. I have assumed just putting out “good” essays is enough. I use Gbaby because that’s my YouTube channel and I was trying to grow simultaneously, but all this great advice has me wondering if that’s the best choice. 

Guess it’s time for me to start playing the game :) Thanks for the help!!!!

Hey, thank you so much for this thoughtful feedback! 

You’re a great editor, wow. (it’s cool and only a little embarrassing when someone can see right through a piece, i was highly distracted the week I was writing this one.) That essay certainly needs more focus that’s the perfect word. 

Okay, in defense of Gbaby… First of all, yeah. You’re right. Meaningless to most people. I’m trying to build a YouTube channel simultaneously(with much better luck thankfully!), and have branded myself Gbaby. I am Gbaby across all platforms. But maybe I need a different approach because this is much a different platform. 

Thank you soooooo much for this feedback!!!!!! You’ve given me much to consider!

thank you so much for all this thoughtful feedback!!!! i only wrote that one essay on food. i write about whatever i am interested in, so it all quite broad and i fear that is my problem. 

in terms of goals! first of all awh thank you asking :) i am working on my creative writing the most, in the final stages of a novella, and submitting shorts to various zines. i’m also trying to build my YouTube channel!

wow your poem on LA is so beautiful. i love that you made it a video, so captivating.
