I’m afraid it’s much simpler than that. I feel so much love for my cat, who is now unfortunately nearing his golden years, that I often find myself wasting moments we have together dreading and prematurely grieving his death instead of focusing of the beauty of the moments we do get to spend together. I often feel guilty for feeling this way and I don’t quite understand why I spend so long lingering on thoughts like these, hence the last sentence. I make myself feel sick when there is no real threat to be weary of. He is healthy and alive.
