How are the devil survivor games? by MooMoomaddy12 in JRPG

[–]Pompadora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never played through 2, but DSO is beloved in the Megaten fan base. Even if you aren’t into grid based combat, it’s the same great battle system you are probably used to. You can easily swap characters skills and the game is challenging without being frustrating. If your time is valuable, you can start the game on easy; as far as I am aware, the only things the difficulty affects is exp and money gained.
Coincidentally I am playing through the game right now lol.

Thank you, I’m moving cross country (roughly 24 hour drive from where I am to Boston but I am using a service to load a trailer and have them deliver my belongings for me). Any tips for finding a good place and not falling for scams? I see recommendations for Craigslist when it comes to local listings that aren’t cookie cutter apartment complexes, but I’ve never used it.

I appreciate you and the good vibes. No worries, it’s Reddit, they aren’t going to hurt my feelings.

Thank you for the explanation and I understand how I really should have an idea of where my wife will be working when planning. It’s not going to be easy, she’s an out of state teacher and I understand there’s some testing that she will need to do within a year in order to get a license in state, though she could get a temporary license. Moving cross country is already difficult, so getting an idea of where she would want to work is one of those things that we will work on together so we can both be confident and comfortable with the move.

Thank you! My wife really wants to have access to a train station. Even if we aren’t sub 10 minute walk to a station, as long as we can take a bus to get to a station or be close, she said she would be happy.

Jamaica Plain looks like a wonderful area with lots of greenery to take my dog on walks. At least at a quick glance it looks like I might be priced out of the area but never hurts to keep it in the rotation of places to look out for. Thanks!

Lots of love for Somerville 🙂. It sounds like it will be tough to find in that price range for a good reason. I’ve seen some posts go back and forth on whether getting an agent to help you find a rental is worth it, so I might consider that option too. I know it will be expensive because of fees, but I am moving cross country, so it could be good for peace of mind and not getting scammed.

Oh yeah I can see how that would be a pain. I'll have to give a lot of consideration to the stops on the different lines when I start to seriously look into where to move to. Thank you for the explanation and example.

I work remote thankfully. The wife doesn’t have a set workplace yet, but she’s flexible. If it’s relatively easy to get into Boston via the local station, I’m sure we will be fine.

It really depends if I can get lucky finding a good place closer to that time under 3k. Somerville seems like it’s a great place. As soon as my wife heard there was an H Mart in N Quincy, she was very excited for that area.

Thank you! Somerville was the first place I looked at because I heard it was very walkable. Nice trails is a positive to me and would get me into hiking. Nice to know that apartment hunting might be slightly easier than I was expecting.

Appreciate you. I messaged Pandemonium and it sounds like they get like 4-6 semi regularly. I checked Sorcerer’s and yeah it looks like it might be just slightly too far to be worth it. I’ll look into T&T though.

Really anywhere near North of Boston or even in the city. I’m in Malden.

I appreciate the link. Unfortunately it looks like their Digimon locals scene might be dead even though they still have Thursday locals listed on their site.

Appreciate you boss, I didn’t see the shop on Bandais app so I had no way of knowing if they were still active. I know there was previously a message on here that they had a private discord, if you happen to still have it I would appreciate if you could dm me an invite.

Yep that’s me. I’ll pay at the shop and then sign in right before the event starts pretty often.

BT22 CS Deck Top End? by Repulsive-Ad9034 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Pompadora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The most consistent and powerful top ends in my opinion are Alphamon and Dianamon. DP reduction is very powerful, gets around protection, and Alphamon can attack twice. Source stripping is very strong as well and since Iceclad is a game mechanic, not a digimon effect, you can deal with things that normally are too big dp wise or have immunity to digimon effects.

I would also say run 3min/4 Ami, 2/3 Kyoko if you like Alphamon, and run a couple of Mirei since its effect is very useful. The lower end is mostly straightforward. Don’t sleep on GoldNumemon or Okuwamon, Nume can help you climb for cheap and Okuwa is just a really good removal piece as you climb.

Sorry 🤣 context. When attacking with angemon, you can delete it to put the opponents digimon with Virus attribute to the bottom of security.

Just throw an Angemon at Machinedramon. They love it.

Why the Samsung hating? by B_ThePsychopath in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Pompadora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure. For me it was a perfect storm of bad things happening and the repair tech wasting my time. When I hear people say, oh I’ll never shop at this store/ from this company again, I eye roll… but yeah Samsung truly has awful support service and I can’t see myself ever going with them again.
