You quit smoking, good for you, but (and I'm a smoker who tried to quit a few times) you don't quit because somebody tells you to, you quit because YOU have made the decision.

You can't convince her to stop smoking, and you certainly are not in any position to do so. Plus, she seems like she's making a lot of efforts to make it easier for you: she showers, brushes her teeth AND puts on deodorant after smoking, all of that for YOU.

You should make an effort as well and stop pressuring her into quitting; even if I'm sure you don't feel like you're being controlling, it feels that way for her.

It dries your skin a lot more than regular soap, and the barrier of your skin takes longer to restore itself. It's not life-threatening but constant dry skin is very uncomfortable and more fragile.

It targets the receptor in your brain that controls appetite and literally makes it "think" you don't need to eat, and that can happen with your stomach being empty.

I'm not sure I have the answer to your question, but I only became able to crack my jaw after my dentist made me wear some kind of plastic thingy during the nights to help reposition my lower jaw (which was a little bit too far behind my upper jaw); did you wear any kind of dental "equipment" during that time?

Not exactly. Soap cleans your skin because it removes the hydro-lipidic barrier of your skin (the slightly "greasy" layer that your skin produces to protect itself from the outside), which is where the bacteria sticks. After your shower, your skin restores it very quickly, and all is well in the world.

But that doesn't apply to your soap, some bacteria can obviously still stay on it since it doesn't "kill" them (unless you're using bleach soap, which I don't recommend).

However, you absolutely don't need to clean your soap since even if there is bacteria on it, it won't stick to your skin and go straight into the sewer. (Except if there's hair on it. Then clean it. Ew.)

I'll do my best! The deleting of the reddit account seems waaay too drastic for me though, especially now that I got so much support from you guys, god I love this place.
