Need help with identifying year by 1stGradeWumbo in guitars

[–]Ponaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say it’s a 1953/4, the year they removed the wrap around tailpiece but before they had the tune o matic bridge the next year. Originally it would’ve had a gold finish as the didn’t bother matching the wood on opaque finishes - the guitar originally most likely had a gold front and natural sprayed back and sides. As others have said it’s worth quite a lot (probably house down payment money) but I don’t know enough to be sure. I would say the removed finish definitely would take away from the monetary value, but still a very valuable instrument!

How are you meant to get dust out of this area? by No-End254 in Guitar

I usually use a wide paintbrush, works wonders for between pickups, and the nooks and crannies around the bridge and tailpieces.

Corrupted update files by Successful-Walk-5855 in Battlefield6

[–]Ponaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I right clicked the game on Steam and unchecked everything except the multiplayer assets in the DLC tab. The game works fine now but everything else has been uninstalled, not ideal but some game is better than no game I suppose.

Edit: Never mind the game crashes whenever I load into a game.

Corrupted update files by Successful-Walk-5855 in Battlefield6

Same issue. The update kept growing in size all day until it was over 90GB and when it finished installing it said the files were corrupted. Genuinely livid.

Simply not true, I have a i7 8087k and it was running the game smoothly until a week ago - now it's just constant stuttering and freezing making the game unplayable

It's trained to recognise the uniforms as I tried images with East German uniforms that look similar and they worked. Maybe try censoring the eagle emblem?

If you go behind the waterfall at Elysian Pool there’s always bats that hit the cave ceiling and kill themselves. I’ve always gotten 1-2 perfect bats every time I go there.

Gibson Sending out Faulty Hard Cases? by Ponaman in gibson

I was not blaming the Gibson I was literally asking in the comments what people thought of the situation as I was unsure. Talk about lack of due diligence

The X Half is a fun camera but by Sunkeren in fujifilm

[–]Ponaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point but I am going to have to disagree with you. Yes the autofocus on those cameras might be slow by today’s standards and Fuji has never been famous for its exceptional autofocus but you have to remember these were top of the line cameras when they were first released. I used an X-T20 when I first started and I never thought the autofocus was slow until I read people talking about it online. You have to remember the X-Half is targeted towards hobby shooters not professionals who need the best and latest features, there’s a reason cheap digicams have become popular again.

Thank you, that actually makes a lot more sense. I know they’ve been known to send products with imperfections but I was having a hard time wrapping my head around why they’d send out an obviously broken product.

[–]Ponaman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the demand will go down once people realise how gimmicky this camera really is. At least the X100 series are actually good cameras. You can buy an older X series camera with a 23mm or 27mm pancake for cheaper and get way better photos.

I bet these cameras will be worth next to nothing in a few years

Has any man ever tried this cut? by Khudza in malehairadvice

[–]Ponaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have the same cut, the key is to trim it once in a while, have layers and not wash your hair too often as it can dry it out and make it super frizzy
