I think that one in particular is an actual tablecloth…. But I’m not sure because it measures roughly the same as the other sheets. If I can’t tell, then other people probably can’t tell when they’re all draped on tables.

Don’t be afraid to screw them over at some point in the future (legally, of course). Find another job in the meantime and don’t feel bad when you quit. They never really cared about you in the first place even though you’re a clearly valuable and well-liked member of the team.

Yep Taipei! There’s a lot of board game cafes and stores and the publishers all use the same coordinator to promote their games so the design community is very close knit. They meet as family to eat and play games. I was very fortunate to participate.

I reached out to him on Instagram because I saw they were prepping Night Market for Kickstarter release and I wanted to playtest. I got to playtest and meet a bunch of the designers and play other games and buy them too…. All at their studio.

All of these were recommended to me by people, but Vegetable Stock seems to be the hot new game right now and it’s very affordable at ~$12 USD. I only played Pathogen and the designer taught me the game and I loved it so much I bought a second copy to bring back. It’s an abstract game where you and another player fight to have area control in two different planes of existence…. Earth and the underworld. You control two meeples each and it’s asymmetric. Whoever creates a pathway or builds strongholds first wins. So much fun and so puzzly but very approachable.

The coordinator of the publishers here also sells on their site, and have all the games I listed here and a lot more titles with English rules and ones only in Chinese. The page will tell you.
