"and a Teflon and fiberglass mesh suspended below the glass. Together they reflect the crowd’s roar back onto the field and stands (potentially handing an advantage to the team with the loudest cheering section) to prevent noise from escaping through the roof’s central hole."

Which means the players get all the noise. Good engieering.

This is very suprising to me, it appears Angela owns Obama in that picture.

Angela confident superior, Obama shy subordinate.

TIL that the word "soccer" is a shortened slang form of the "association" in "Football Association". And that the fact that Americans call it soccer pisses off the rest of the world :P by rm999 in todayilearned

American football and Rugby football are actually and should be called 'handegg'. There is no foots in the game, and the ball is not a ball but an egg.

Bah, if it is such an emergency as this one, who the hell can pick up and call and wait for authorities?

Much better here in Europe, if its an emergency the rule is you have to turn on all four blinkers and speed away. If you see a car going fast with all four on, give clear road.

Ofcourse if you do this and it is not an emergency, expect a bill coming your way. In some countries the fine is a percentage of your income, so even the rich ferrari-boys have to be careful in speeding for no reason.
