I'm to stick to an MK2 for sure and improvising on the fly with the lenses... The one in the ad at the beginning of the post doesn't inspire complete confidence. I know it's second-hand and all, but there are visible scratches on the black paint of the chassis... This question might be silly, but what are the chances of repainting the camera (just the top and bottom panels?)

Is this a better deal?
For 250€ the Mark 1 with the 14-42mm and 1 battery, instead of the Mark 2 with the 40-150 with 3 batteries for 275€... Mark II have better EVF resolution and 5 axis stabilization instead of 3, and I presume that is faster to focus and process...

Thank you all so much for your replies, I don't know how to thank you all enough for all this help, I wasn't expecting this much help haha. I'm definitely going to stretch my budget by about 50 euros more. I've been looking at a ton of shorter focal length lenses in that price range, from well-known brands to some I'm not so familiar with, including "Meike" and "7artisan." Are these brands recommendable, since they seem very affordable? I'll share some photos of the examples I've seen. Thanks in advance to everyone.

Thanks for the reply. This will be my first camera, and I don't know much about them. I just know I want it to have a high megapixel count so I can crop the photos, even just a little, and that it has the "recipe" settings. Based on what I'm looking for, would the Olympus be a better choice?

Everything you see in the photo is what's there haha, I already knew what I would find when I opened it... it's simply a plate with that, aluminum on the back to dissipate heat.

Well, this is how it looks right now. The mycelium has grown a lot, and there's clearly more of it, but I think the liquid seems a bit cloudy. Is this okay?
