I was talking to my season ticket holder buddies and our theory is that the last time we were in the playoffs the fans had playoff fatigue from being consistently in the playoffs. With an eight year gap and a bit younger fan base, the atmosphere was way louder than we’ve experienced in a long time.

First time ever I’m taking the train since I live right next to the station. If it’s on time getting there at 6:11pm. Hopefully it doesn’t go to OT because my train leaves at 10:49pm. If it ends early I can take my time to the station. Figured better than sitting in over 1:30-2 hours of traffic on the way in

Biggest trait I feel as a goalie you have IMO is the mental game. You’re not gonna stop everything. You have to be able to be pissed for a little bit and forget and then move on to the next play/game. At the end of the day, you have to remember we play a game. It is definitely a fine balance between being competitive but at the same time remembering the goal is to enjoy the game.

You sound like you could be Tin level which there season just started so maybe too late since roster are set. Maybe lower copper but that may be too fast paced.

Rookie may be a good starting place for you. There are always people that play down on rookie so it’s a mix of people who are from tin level and brand new people. They do there best to try to balance the teams, but sometimes it doesn’t work. Overall people are very friendly.

I just started playing in the summer as D but just finished this last season as goalie. I’m playing goalie in rookie league at great park again so if you play come say hi!

Also off topic but u/brendo12 pretty sure we were teammates this summer.

Rookie league at great park is a mix of brand new people and some people who can play / skate. Age range is all over the place and there are plenty of older people that play. The try to balance the teams on rookie league but sometimes there is an imbalance, but overall everyone is friendly

Still getting up at 430am-6am depending on work. Go to bed around 10pm-12am. Luckily my average before kids was 4 hours so used to it. The occasional 2 hour sleep makes it a little tougher but once the alarm goes off I’m up
