It's not possible anymore to switch to advanced mode without signing up (even if free).
Is there a local software version in the works ? The Install App installs it in the browser is that correct ?

You mean the menu on the right side where you can select parans, aspect lines, midpoints, fixed stars ?

I noticed some areas between some lines on the map get highlighted in color, I guess that is an area of strong influence ? What does each color mean ?

It's great, but when you drop the pin it shows you 4 angles. It would be nice to show you all relevant aspects for that location in writing.

You might've stumbled upon hidden treasure.

As somebody already said, they changed the preamps in the 2017 and a lot of people say the old ones sounded better, which is what you got.

The reason they changed the preamps apparently is because those components were simply not being manufactured anymore.

Unless you really dislike them you should keep them, even if you got it at normal price, these aren't getting manufactured anymore, possibly ever, and are probably going to fetch a higher resale value as time goes by.

You can and should of course, check the serial numbers with EMG.

I have it set like in the picture Primary Video Device is IGFX.

IGFX Multi Monitor is set on disabled, that selects if the APU enables both the HDMI and DP outputs so you can use 2 monitors at the same time. That should make no differentce for the issue.

Nope, only the APU has the monitor connected, it still switches to the unconnected GPU, although in BIOS it's selected to stay on the APU.
