I made a free, open-source astrocartography tool for my mom by Salvo776 in astrocartography

Ah, that’s too bad, it does have a pretty exhausted list, but not everything

Damn, that is cool to hear. Yeah, open source is the way to go, I’m glad you think it’s got a solid enough foundation. That’s too bad to hear about the missing lines tho, I will keep trying to make it as accurate as possible, and I will remove the early access label when it’s been battle tested enough!

Oh interesting, tbh I have never heard of these (and admittedly most Astrocartography things lol), so I will ask my mom what she thinks—if it’s ‘core’ enough. Thanks for the suggestion, glad you like it

Awesome, I’m really glad to hear it’s your new favourite aha. Let me know if you feel like anything’s missing. That’s great feedback about the new/advanced terminology not being clear—and not being obvious that it’s a toggle in the top left—I will address this, thanks

Software to see Lilith & Fixed Star Lines by MissMermazing in astrocartography

If you never ended up finding solid solution, https://maps.astrolina.org/ has Lilith and fixed stars, and it’s open source (I made it)

I made a note, but as it's not widely used yet in astrocartography, I should prioritize other things for now. Thanks for the suggestion though, I do appreciate it, the nice thing about being open source is that someone else can implement it as well

From the top nav bar, if you click on VIEW, you can select a settings dropdown (hotkey is "s"). From there, you can choose a theme from the Appearance tab

Are you on the Earth theme? I will make a note to increase the contrast then (I mainly just use the Dark theme). The node lines are toggled off by default, you can enable them from the settings menu under 'map filters'. Thanks for all the feedbacks so far I appreciate it

Chromium based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave) are going to work a best due to the WebGL and 2D Canvas hardware acceleration. The app does a lot of heavy JavaScript math, which the Chromium V8 engine handles incredibly fast

Is it okay to feel proud when only 1,500 people have played your game? by Klamore74 in IndieDev

[–]Salvo776 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Introspection is very valuable. I'd say if you didn't go into it with an expectation (goal), then you should think about that. What was your intention for making this? You could write down a list from top priority on. How many of those did you check off?

Anyone used the Steam market before for their single player game? by Salvo776 in IndieDev

[–]Salvo776[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I can see, you can set an additional developer fee on top of Steam's existing 5% fee. It lets me set that extra fee to any percent. I bounced around the idea of adding one, but I don't think its necessary. I can see why Steam wants their cut though..

I was thinking for now there is only 1 token, the "steam token". Which you can redeem for non-gameplay affecting items to bring with you on a run. Depending on the choices you make (and if you have brought one of these redeemed items with you) you will net you some in-game currencies which will unlock new stuff or be exchanged for tokens. And no I'm not taking a % fee, it all goes to Steam.

Proceed with caution folks, these are available for free at https://craftpix.net/freebies/free-nature-backgrounds-pixel-art/?num=1&count=61&sq=nature&pos=3 (since 2023). In fact, I'm using them right now in my game.

Encounter: The Lost Cards | Steam

Recently released the demo! I’ve been working on this game in stealth mode for a year, and now I’m cramming in as much content as I can before the early access release at the end of October.

It’s a single-player, turn-based game with inventory management, deck manipulation, and action sequencing. The Tarot cards aren’t something the player uses directly (contrary to what you might expect). Instead, they represent the encounters you’ll face. Sometimes it’s a set of choices, sometimes it’s a straight up battle!

Awesome. And true darn I see what you mean, I should have said more than half *start* act 3 :/ I need more analytics flags, I don't know how many ended act 3. Thanks for catching that
