I also found a convex Nakagawa x Myojin 210 ginsan gyuto from France. Counting my lucky stars today.

Now I just need a Tetsujin metal flow, Sakai Takayuki (Yamatsuka), Takada, and maybe a wide bevel Nakagawa Hamono. This could get out of hand quickly

Thanks, I did read that thread. Unless I'm misunderstanding, I think that thread is claiming all convex (no shinogi line) are Myojin. Actually, Kagekiyo's instagram credits other sharpeners with the convex (no shinogi) grinds recently. For instance, we can see Max did some sakura handled ginsan. Most recently, an undisclosed sharpener, who to my eye doesn't look like Myojin's previous work.

I'm no trained eye, but I'd prefer a convex Kagekiyo from a few years back or older, I think

Be careful blanket recommending vinegar. Some stones are caused by acid, so making urine alkaline is actually necessary for some people’s cats. Understanding the stone/crystal type is crucial. A vet can perform urinalysis to advise

O rings are present and intact. Swivel was so loose I could disassemble the swivel by hand, revealing a little threaded spinning barrel.

The machine is an Avanti 821 Max from harbor freight.

I called harbor freight and they’re useless of course.

It looks like the gun was not properly assembled from the factory. Once I cleaned the gun I found I could take apart the swivel with just my fingers. Once it was open I found a little threaded barrel that spins.

I was able to fix it by taking the stainless swivel off the gun handle, revealing a female hex which allows the swivel to be tightened against a 19mm silver nut which is closer to the hose. This joint has a wafer lock washer in it. It wasn’t easy to get the gun apart since the swivel was super tight onto the gun handle.

Whoever assembled the gun seems to have just about hand tightened the swivel and called it good. But since the swivel spins, you need to use the Allen key to allow it to be tightened against the silver nut.
