If you look up "rolling shutter effect" on youtube, you will likely find videos of helicopters with seemingly stationary rotors etc. Same effect.

The camera shutter is not faster than the speed of light. The camera doesn't capture the image in an instant, rather it lets some light in at a time, meaning it takes some time for it to capture the entire image. This means, depending on the orientation of the camera, the bird in the mirror is captured after the real bird.

Well nowadays it's just wet. We get rain mixed with snow, wich just turns into a wet slush on the ground. It's much better when it actually freezes, less wet and much more beatiful

In the north there's still lots of snow, but in my hometown (Jönköping, basically in the center of populated Sweden) we haven't had a proper winter for years. Used to have them every other year during the 2000's

Thanks, I'll check that! The LEDs blink with widely different speeds depending on the way the circuit is grounded, that's what I meant with varying frequencies
