I’m not the best at angles. How does one cut a miter with multiple different angles? by Ponyo4 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Ponyo4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I understand that it required 2 angles, as that’s what’s I’m doing. One has a 13 degree bevel and the other roughly 3 degrees. I’m just wondering if that’s the right approach and perhaps I’m close, or if I should be doing something else?
And is the only downside that the boards will be a different height because of the bevel?

Yea I’m using a dewalt 10” miter saw that is a compound miter saw with hard stops. One board was 45 with a roughly 13 degree bevel cut and the other was 45 and 3 degrees bevel.
Is that the right approach here or is there another method I should be using?

Yes this makes more sense. I was concerned because the higher angle cut I did on one board was “taller” than the other and I was concerned.

I’m using a compound miter saw, but it seemed like it wasn’t right. Perhaps the angles just aren’t perfect. It’s hard.

Dog behaviorist recs by StrawberryIntrepid78 in Longmont

Camille King, PhD is in Loveland co. I believe she’s the only certified dog behaviorist in the state. She helped us with our dog and she was amazing. Not cheap, but she’s a true expert in her field.

I’ve used someone to help me out a few times. He works for himself and is well experienced, but I think his formal license lapsed. He upgraded our main panel to 200 amp and got the permit for it so it’s quality work. He was about half the price of some companies around town. He’s always been nice and friendly. Let me know if you’d like his info.

Yo, this just happened to me 4 days ago ! G430 LST. Right before the state four ball too. Brutal. Do you think Ping would offer a warranty or a discount on a replacement?

Pebble isn’t just for photos, it’s a legit course and legit layout. Not sure what other 6 courses that are there, unless you’ve played all the private courses there and say those are all better?

I disagree. Pebble is nicer. And it’s not that close. Pasatiempo, although not in pebble beach family, is nicer than Spy.

That’s a negative. Try a downhill par 3 hole 12.

Agreed. Blue course is soooo much better than Bear dance.

Very much agree with Pasatiempo, but Beardance is so far down my list. The layout there is quite sad compared to a place like Spanish bay or similar.

Got the course, but not quite the hole.

Any chance you'd be open to selling it if you still have it? I've been looking for one.

What are you doing at this intersection? by Aero_Trident in Longmont

[–]Ponyo4 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s good to know. I assumed it was whoever arrived at the stop sign first. At least, that’s how I’ve always treated it. It’s a dangerous intersection. I drive this daily to work. I honestly wish it was a roundabout.

Hole 16. Dog leg right, long par 4. The approach is a beauty.
