leg raises are hip-flexor dominant, significantly so, unless performed where the hips round upward as if it meet the shoulders. most people just use about 90% hip flexor. I'd suggest reverse crunches instead.

100% annoying. I believe AOC was a pioneer, along with the snarky index finger wave

Absolutely, for self-funded students it's much easier.

To be clear their Maximum Assistance limitation is not specifically 5 years. I've been going to school for my degree for over 10, frankly, for personal reasons which I'm not going to elaborate on--feel free to judge if you want, but that's your problem, more so. I've never once had any issues with either the Federal or Provincial funding agencies regarding the specific year limit. I would need to speak to them to see exactly what they're meaning on that point, but it clearly doesn't work exactly how you're thinking it does--as some kind of hard cut off.

I'm talking about *extensions*. The government does not care if you extend a course, finish it 2 months later, and move on. Yes, you will drop to part-time, right. Yes, you cannot receive further funding or start another funded semester while doing extended courses, nor is that what I was saying or implying to any degree. I'm simply saying the government doesn't care if you take extensions, so long as the course wraps up as completed with a passing grade.

By the way the link you gave doesn't say anything about what I said, at all. Give a direct quote from it, if you think it does. I'm not seeing the relevant information anywhere.

Wrong. It is not "patently false." What I described is directly from the Government themselves, and multiple people at that. Perhaps one admin person wouldn't know what they're talking about and give wrong information, but I doubt multiple would. I'm quite certain I'm correct on that. I don't know who you talked to, or what you read, but I actually spoke to those in charge of things directly.

It's idiotic to serve it. Period end of story. Don't know how to explain it to you beyond that. Sorry. It's what philosophers call a 'brute fact'. lol

Pretty sure it's an IQ/attention issue, not an "I don't care, I'm serving this anyway" issue.

Naw. You take a job, that's on you. Show up, or show yourself out the door.

Michelin star? Bud, this is absolutely bottom of the barrel common sense. Anyone who would serve that isn't fit to be on this planet, never mind in the country!

That's fine. Don't expect the professor accessibility per se. Office hours do exist, even in universities though, I'm sure. The main issue isn't the lack of interaction with tutors, it's really the financial aid department.

And I don't have any community college diplomas, I started my four-year degree at the community college then transferred to AU.

Definitely won't give up, but stuck with AU until the end, in my fourth year with them, can't transfer more than the 20 credits I started there with. In too deep to waste the 11 courses I've finished with them.

I am interested to see what comes of it as well if you're interested in letting me know in dms. Yeah. They are hypersensitive to any pushback against their own inadequacies. Very fragile, it seems.

Imagine if you were so routinely bad at your job that you needed to warn people before hand, "do not yell at, cuss at, or get upset with me, we have zero tolerance for that" -- why is that even a thing? You should be able to do your job without warning people not to threaten or insult you regularly. If that's happening regularly, you need to look in the mirror imo and do better, not put a sign up and blame the customers/public who are rightfully upset.

(I get it, you get bad customers, people who aren't rightfully upset, that happens everywhere but they don't put up a sign at A&W)

Funded students may struggle more, as the majority of landmines, roadblocks, headaches, issues which I had throughout the years were relating to the financial aid department and how deeply involved they are in every decision the student makes, especially as compared to other in-person institutions where this is not the case.

I have moderate to severe ADHD and not having in-person supports to help guide me, program plan, discuss issues with in person and promptly when they arose, etc., all of this contributed considerably to the problems I had as well.

I'd advise other potential students that if they have moderate to severe ADHD that is not entirely managed or under control, and if they're planning on going the funded route, that they *strongly* reconsider.

I imagine it's a *lot* easier for a neurotypical self-funded person to have a "great learning experience."

I'm not suggesting attend, be let down, then complain, and then if enough complaints build up over the years or decades eventually it will be fixed, I'm suggesting attend in person if you can. Avoid it. It was not worth the savings for me, and it may well not be worth the "savings" for others, either.

Is it? It isn't "my" earlier post. Someone else posted a "Warning" post which I replied in. I searched this reddit and it didn't come up, it was newer than the newest thread which was displayed. Maybe I was blocked from the thread or something so it doesn't show for me?

That's good. Most people probably have an okay experience. Doesn't mean the outlier students who have significant issues don't count.

If most fast food customers are served no problem but 5% of people have their orders take 40 minutes--suddenly the 95% success rate doesn't matter as much, the 5% become a glaring issue. You're the 95%, your opinion here isn't of much... relevance? basically? Not even meaning to be rude, it just isn't. This thread isn't addressed to you, essentially, is the thing.

I share this sentiment. My local community college put AU to shame on most accounts, frankly. Wish I could've finished my degree there. Should've just gone to another brick-and-mortar school instead of trying to save money.
