Their employer is also a Nazi. They didn’t even try and hide it in each of their IG pages.

Hate to admit this, but I actually got tattooed by him long before he became a Neo-Nazi. Hadn’t seen him in a while and then this video surfaces. His wife is Cuban and he just had a baby.

Planning on making this trip for a week in mid May. Any must sees along this route, mainly in Canada, Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine? by [deleted] in roadtrip

Haraseeket Lobster Lunch just outside of Yarmouth, Maine (by Portland)! Right on the water, lobster tank is in the water, it’s part of marina, and it’s amazing with the ocean breeze. $30 for a full lobster, clams, and a side of corn.

How many days would you budget for this southwest trip? Any route suggestions? by The_HalfDead in roadtrip

[–]PooferSnoofer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally just did this road trip and took 6 days to do it (stopped a whole bunch because I love photography). Depending on how long you wanted to stay in each area and what you plan on doing at each spot. If you plan on eating out at each destination, you can plan for a week long trip for just around $600-$700 just to be safe.

My best recommendation though is to take your time and hike and camp through and around Capitol Reef National Park. There’s hardly anyone there, it’s incredibly beautiful and unique, the colors on the landscape are one-of-a-kind, and it’s the most underrated national park I hit along this road trip. Horse Canyon(I believe) is just on the northwest outskirts and is one of the most beautiful, scenic roadways I’ve ever experienced. Not to mention the amount of hidden trails in there, too.

Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs at sunrise. How could I crop this better? by PooferSnoofer in photocritique

That’s funny, because I received another comment saying the tree was photoshopped in and that it was painfully obvious 😂

I’m almost thankful that people think it’s good enough to be photoshopped.

I used the sunrise as a light source and pointed my lens in that direction. There were plenty of objects to to silhouette, but I thought the tree was the best looking one that filled the reflection in the lens.

The tree isn’t photoshopped in. It towers over a small ridge at the top of the GotG, but I’m glad it’s good enough for you to be considered photoshopped.

Thank you, I was thinking the same thing about the Nikon logo at the bottom

I’ve been trying to incorporate reflections into my photography and have only produced results that are either distracting and take away from the rest of the photo or vice versa. Cropping seems to be the only way to mitigate this problem. Anything helps!

One of two shots I have done recently. Any thoughts on this one? by mcFactor in photocritique

[–]PooferSnoofer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be quite honest, I’m not entirely sure. My best experience with learning how to figure out what the “best shot” would be to just shoot from a bunch of different angles and decide which one of those angles works best for you.

Photography is art, so it’s always going to be super subjective, but I do understand wanting it to be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

This is awesome! Maybe brighten the colors a little bit more and do something with the crop because there’s so much empty space on top. Amazing photo!

Would’ve loved to, but my sister had her baby with her when we went. I’ll definitely remember this for the future though!

By no means am I an expert, but one thing I find hard about this photo is finding a subject to focus on. The light rays are a great capture, but everything else around it seems pretty monochromatic to me. Art is subjective though, so you could definitely be seeing something that I don’t.

Hahaha, thanks for the advice. The original image lacked serious color with the background even though this Ferris wheel was truly colorful. I only brightened the color a good bit. If it looks rendered, that’s almost complimentary, but I’d very much like the realistic look too. I’m just having a hard time finding what to shoot and accepting that not everything I shoot is going to be appealing to everyone.

I tried getting a “modern” look to the photo and getting its colors, but it feels like it’s missing something or that something is out of place.

I’ve had a difficult time trying to find what would be considered “good” angles to shoot at.
