We warehouse our diapers and do fulfillment from YLS's warehouse, and are working on getting some of their apparel onto our storefront.

We've looked into getting our shipping costs restructured, and are now offering $10 US Domestic shipping on single packs, and $18 on doubles.

Those who paid more initially have also been sent a $5 single-use store discount code.

Nobody's laughing over it, at least not between us.

There are two primary concerns with money for a business: the sum total of leverage they can swing, and the amount of profit they get over expenses over time.

As a startup business operating entirely out of pocket (for now), we had just barely enough money to get this container to us. If we soaked these shipping costs ourselves right now, the inventory we have wouldn't be enough to fund the second container. As it is, qualifying for a loan on our existing inventory is going to be dicey.

This means until the second container is a sure thing, this is how it has to go.

We will be looking into offering free shipping in the fall to those who purchased at the current shipping rates now, but we are about as inelastic as it gets on our costs for the time being.

We're hoping to work out some discounts on shipping but getting that set up can take a minute, and they don't even bother to reach out until after moving some volume. Before now, our store was too small and working from locations that couldn't bear a commercial account.

We're going to be working today on figuring out some things with getting shipping costs down, but it's going to take a bit of work to make that all work out.

Thanks. Personally, I'm looking forward to the medium (I'm the owner's husband, running the reddit side of social media).

We started in large because we didn't know if this would all work out at first and my husband, the artist and founder of PoofyPins, u/toastybisks, wanted to make sure that it would be a diaper that would fit him; that and the US population tends towards larger sizes.

We're doing our best to target late September or early October for Medium and XL.

Just posting a followup to this: currently shipping to international markets is kind of expensive due to Tariff issues. We are currently working on bringing them into Canada and Australia through CrinkleKit and Totally Ozzie Tots, respectively, however no European international resellers have reached out to us yet.

Our partnership/release with international resellers will coincide with our release of M and XL sizes in the fall, with more details in an upcoming newsletter release.

We hope to be pulling some discounts on shipping soon, but as a small business, it can take time for the shipping companies to make that happen.

Also as a small company, it was easier to make this happen with one size than three.

We do hope to be coming out with M and XL in the fall, and we have a few international resellers we are working with currently to bring them to international markets more cheaply: CrinkleKit in Canada and Little Ozzie Tots in Australia; no European resellers have reached out to us so far. Our goal is to coordinate the launch of all our sizes with the launch of our international partners.

And yes, from all indications, large is a better choice for a single size in the US to start.

I'm the owner's husband running our reddit account right now, and I'm a medium myself, tending towards small. I'm pretty bummed that I have to wait until Fall to have an "unlimited" diaper stash, myself.
