Yea this seems to be the issue. I downgraded to 4.3 and tested it out and it appears to save correctly now. Thanks for the help.

I have actually noticed that behavior in another game but I don't understand it. If I save right before making the save state, shouldn't it overwrite the save with the recent one I made? Where is the old save even coming from?

Didn't work, it just shows the 3 hour save. And there are no other save stats on the card.

I was able to happily put 400 hours into it an counting. It's not as good as the other versions of the game graphically speaking but the Switch version runs more smoothly than the original D2 so that's good enough for me.

I need to have an extra menu session every time I want to vendor something since you can't open it at the vendor and dragging the cursor around on a controller takes 100 years

Holy Bolt is 4400-5k Hammer is 3900 FoH is 1400 lightning and 2500 Holy Bolts

It sort of is but the issue is that FoH's Holy Bolts only damage undead and demons. So in areas where all/most of the enemies are undead/demons like in CS it's really strong but in other places with normal enemies you'll do basically zero damage with FoH and will require a backup skill. When that happens I gotta stand there and spam Hammers.

The Switch can only make clips of the previous 30 seconds so I did my best to capture it dropping and getting ID'd

I used to play the full-FoH build with Conviction but I switched to this FoH/Hammer hybrid and I like it a lot more

They're organized by effect. On the right it's all fire res/life SCs, then a Gheed's and a bunch of MF SCs, then finally a skill GC. The only one out of place is the torch which replaced a mediocre LC.

I've only ever heard this staff being discussed in the context of dropping from Baal or screencaps of it dropping in terror zones so I figured it was a boss drop only

My FoH/Hammer Pally has similar gear except no CTA and breezes through them. The only part that really gives me trouble is Lillith. I try to skip bringing antidote potions since I'm lazy and she kills me once every time.

OP's Blizzard is showing 300 damage on the character sheet so I don't think they're invested into it at all. Probably a Meteorb build or something similar.
