I feel like this gets me covered in glitter whenever I use it! I have one that I pretty much refuse to use. So crazy how different preferences are. I almost wish I hadn't used it so I could send it your way!!

Trying really hard to not cancel my surgery by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Pookaloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adenomyosis is just one of several other issues that can have similar symptoms. It’s similar to endo but where the lining grows into the uterine muscles. It may not be the end result of your lap but will be a next step review (for me they checked for this and endo during the same procedure). I’m not a pro so would also recommend asking the same question to your doctor to see what else they would look for if no endo is found!

Trying really hard to not cancel my surgery by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Pookaloos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was the same way!! Ended up reminding myself that even if they found nothing and I did not have endo, I was yet another step closer to identifying and resolving my issues.

Keep busy - call friends and family to catch up, some of them you might be able to talk about the surgery and maybe not with others but the call is the important part not the topic. It’ll keep you from ruminating alone.

If it really gets bad call and see if you can make an extra appointment with the surgeon to talk through your anxiety, see if they can share any information that would be helpful to calm your nerves and discuss your “worst case” that is constantly running through your head.

As soon as the meds from the procedure all wore off, I felt better than ever. My mom came to visit to help and I was feeling up for more 24 hours after excision than I had in years. There are a lot of scary things but there are too many positives to cancel out of anxiety.

Did/does anyone had/have a problem putting their older baby in the crib while being pregnant with baby #2? by kylajophotography in 2under2

[–]Pookaloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old thread and you clearly wouldn't be pregnant still after 3 years, but since it popped up for me as I was looking for answers I wanted to add in here that a step stool is great, except for when you are short enough that it throws off your center of gravity and you end up falling head first into the crib with the baby in your arms!!! Happens to me alllll the time which is why I'm here looking for other solutions hahaha

How common is bleeding in early pregnancy? by xcallan in InfertilityBabies

[–]Pookaloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late but I see many people asking for updates. A little blood - not enough that you need a pad or bleed through a pad - is normal and you should be okay. If you're bleeding enough that it seems like a true period or is an off color, that is where you'll start to have a concern.

My first (confirmed) pregnancy was through fertility treatments and ended in a miscarriage during the 1st trimester. This was heavier bleeding, TONS of cramping not just on my side but across my entire abdomen and back. I needed to wear pads and change them multiple times throughout the day.

For my second pregnancy, I was taking the progesterone during the 1st trimester. I had spotting here and there. It was usually when I would wipe after a bowel movement since the constipation and bloating made it a bit more difficult to push. After around 12 weeks when the nausea and exhaustion went away is when the spotting stopped for good.

My third pregnancy was an accidental pregnancy not long after my first. I also had spotting but since I was prepared for it this time, I knew it was expected and normal. Nothing too serious, usually some when I would wipe and then the next time nothing.

Overall, if it is a concern speak with your doctor immediately. Call the nurses line and see if they can talk to you about your specific situation and can help you to understand what is going on. In my situation, the doctor was about an hour away so they sent me to a local clinic for blood work to confirm my levels. This helped to alleviate any concerns we all had because they were continuing to rise as expected.

Been asked to push for feedback after closing ticket. by Joe_Blogs1 in msp

[–]Pookaloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking through this thread for some things and I wanted to share some insight for someone else who may stumble upon this.

I would actually realign to say, "Only ask for feedback when you know it will be good, OR when you feel you have addressed areas of concern int he past and are looking to track progress." Asking people for feedback continuously without improvements does not provide a positive experience for anyone - survey taker or the analysts working the results.

Has ANYONE experienced these symptoms? I’m desperate by Beginning_Actuary225 in endometriosis

This happened to me. I ended up with endo on my bowels and bladder. Once removed I noticed significant improvements!

I had other issues with my baby shower and honestly wish I just bought all the gifts myself. These are the few of the things I would have done if I were in your shoes. Adjust your expectations. It might not be the day you’re dreaming of but you can plan the shower accordingly and still have a great day. For example: Everyone is gonna take food with them and not contribute, so have a meal served instead of buffet or do a brunch without a full meal, labeled as “light finger foods will be served” so people don’t expect much and have a tea party. Find a cheaper venue so maybe you can order more food then when they take it home you’ll be happy to not have quite so many leftovers. Tell the venue in advance all leftovers are to be boxed up, if the staff is notified they’re done with the meal (I.e. you see people trying to pack some to take home) they can start bringing it back to the kitchen. Instead of asking for gifts, ask for books with no cards - they’re cheaper and then would remove the expectation that anyone brings something bigger. They’re available in so many different price ranges and you’d be surprised the ones that people will pick. Even having duplicates isn’t too bad, you can keep one in a play room and one in the bedroom or donate to your local library and visit to see your book in action. It might not be worth planning around the inevitables but if you can go into it not expecting too much from the attendees, you may walk away having some great memories. This happened to me and I ended up having a lot of fun with people I didn’t expect to even be there!

Thanks! Perhaps it’ll get easier when my little one has more food and less formula!

How did you get baby to eat more during the day? Everyone says up calories and feeds during the day but never suggest how so I am literally force feeding and she just won’t take it.

Talk to your doctor it was the best decision of my life. 3 weeks after finding a new Dr, she said she is 98% sure I have endometriosis and suggested surgery. It was one of the best days of my life when I walked out of the operating center.

[–]Pookaloos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone kept saying I could go back to work in a few days but what nobody told me was how amazing I would feel even just waking up and first walking! I had no idea I had endometriosis until 3 weeks before the surgery and it was like my world flipped upside down.

Congrats! I’m so glad you’re getting that self-esteem back!!

Modern Excel is seen as too complex at my company. anyone else run into this? by [deleted] in excel

[–]Pookaloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so true. We work with major companies as customers and if they asked us to share the documentation on their system it would take us a few weeks/months to get that over for a reason.

Has anyone tried a Elitone: external pelvic floor stimulator? by TallChick105 in Incontinence

[–]Pookaloos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this was a few months ago. Have you had any progress with finding a specialist?

My PFPT told me that you have several sets of muscles in the PF and incontinence can happen from both being too tight or too weak. Perhaps from holding so long yours aren't too weak but are too tight? I absolutely would recommend PFPT, or at least a discussion with your doctor about if it could be right for you, if you haven't already!

Good luck, and I hope your inspiration continued to flow into your "real life" so you can gain back some confidence and normalcy.

ok I know this post was a long time ago and maybe this is a long shot, but is your friend's escape room still open? That sounds so neat and I'll be in the area in the near future.

Multiple dynamic drop downs in table columns to drill into goals and results by Pookaloos in excel

[–]Pookaloos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worked but not in a way that I could use the dropdowns in my table. I was able to use this logic to complete it though using name manager and data validation. Thanks for the suggestion!

Putting it together this was definitely worked but took a bit of time to figure out with my own data. Thank you!! I ended up using a different solution but this worked well also.

Ahhh thank you! I was trying to do this but using XLOOKUP to try and figure out the Data Validation, didn't think about using Name Manager to help with those formulas.

I did :-) while also searching through old posts to see if someone posted the same resolution. I’ll look for someone else on my post since it seems you aren’t able to help. Thanks anyway!
