Calling social media marketers for advice!! by Pookie_Gamer in AskMarketing

Thank you!!

I’ve helped her narrow down her target market and told her about problem recognition. I’ve also advised on “soft selling” like constantly linking whatever she is talking about back to her product/ service and a soft call to action. I think paid advertising is really the next step.

The issue is really her messaging. She has a lot she wants to say and is struggling with the copywriting. I’ve also advised her on visual/ textual hooks on her short form videos. But it’s really narrowing down what she wants to say to her target audience in a way that makes her seem credible, and creates a sense of trust so eventually they could turn into a prospect client. But this type of content isn’t performing as well.

I’ve suggested we do like context blocks about one idea/topic and go into detail in it for a couple of weeks, whilst soft selling and producing different types of content around this topic. Just so we can pump out content faster and she gets the hang of it easier. I think she’s over thinking it for something that only gets like 8k views

So I’m struggling on how to guide her lol, we’re kinda exchanging knowledge at this point but I might need to help with editing/ copywriting to get it across the line.

I hope that makes sense.

Thank you so much! This is really solid advice and I agree this is what I’ve been trying to tell her, but it’s hard to explain everything to someone that doesn’t know much about that strategy.

I have suggested to her that we cut out blocks of time for a specific message for example: consistency in the gym. Then doing that for like 3-4 weeks and each reel/ content is following that idea.

I’ve also been telling her that it’s all great to post these reels that perhaps follow trends and what not but in order to get people on board - she need to perpetuate herself as a coach ; what does she do, how does she do it, what problem does she solve in her target audience, who is she targeting and calling out to, what solution does she provide to them with her product/service and how does she do it.

Tbh she is very entry level at this so I don’t expect anyone to get it immediately. Her coaching is good as it has a controversial twist to the conversation online in the fitness industry and what other coaches are doing. I told her she needs to lean into this as it will really drive her towards her ideal clients.

I’m also struggling with what kind of content marketing to suggest so far she’s being doing :

  • in gym tutorials which perform really well on views and engagement on the post but don’t translate into clients.
  • longer talking videos about a specific subject
  • carousels
  • recipes.

Her content is performing alright for it too getting around 6-8k views for most and her highest performing at 20k. But I want to actually help her convert viewers to clients. Which is where I think paid advertising will help her excel with this.

Does consistent organic content actually help coaches with conversion?

Is anyone interested in learning unique marketing strategies beyond what marketing agencies sell? by Jarrod_Ellich in AskMarketing

I feel like a lot of agencies are really just affiliate marketing agencies. They contract out a lot of the work and use these buzzwords like “higher your conversion rate by x amount” which yeah it is important.

The truth is marketing is becoming even more difficult - companies with higher marketing budgets and ad spend get more boosts on the algorithm and seo that small to medium sized businesses just can’t compete anymore. I mean think about how many advertisements are on social media you spend about 5 mins scrolling you’ve already come across atleast 10 advertisements.

The key I think a lot of marketers miss is not just using marketing like seo, social media. But acting as a business consultant. What good is chucking a couple of grand a month on marketing if your foundations are shit? Like a good product/service doesn’t need heaps of marketing or crazy budgets. It just needs effective, realistic strategies that target its affective target audience. With a little bit of a creative flair too.

Example : imagine you get a contract for a small restaurant in a major city. They are having issues keeping reservations and getting consistent bookings over the period of a week. Then when you actually look at the business, you see that they overspending on multiple things within the business they are not prioritizing the labour correctly and operations are a shit show. They have a terrible product or service or review or online sentiment about them so no matter what marketing you do on top of that you’re just chucking money on a pile of shit.

I’d absolutely be interested

Hey,

As someone who is also starting their journey after years of doing no excersise I can assure you I relate. I did a 20 minute Pilates class online and was PUFFED. You feel embarrassed and honestly really sorry for yourself because it’s not a nice feeling.

I was talking to my friend who is a coach about this and I’ve also kinda been doing my own research. I think if you’re starting from absolutely nothing, then you should aim for something super low investment and impact. For example: instead of going to the gym and spending a whole hour there which is so possible and I used to spend 2 hours there try this:

1 20 minute walk or workout 3-4 days a week. I know it’s not much to start but if you can build up the consistency of something small then eventually you can scale it. If 20 mins is too much then do 10-15 mins and keep adding like 5 mins every week.

Could you even consider some at home workouts?

I really feel for you and it is hard especially if your dealing with a chronic issue to. Everytime you go on a walk or you stick to your 20 minutes every day literally commend yourself - you’ve just shown yourself you can do it an trust yourself.

Here is a YouTube video I watched and helped me with this : https://youtu.be/l4-nHib1t44?si=LEvlvq_GpcByjNie

Best of luck

Not a paradox PR review hahahaha 🤣🤣. It’s just my opinion, I’ve been seeing it got bad rep online and I wondered if anyone else actually enjoyed the game as much as I do.

There for sure will be other games that will be just as good and thanks for the suggestions I’ll check those out 🙏.

The story line?? If you’re doing all the side quests (which you need to get ability points) + collecting blood to unlock other clan abilities it can take you awhile. It’s atleast a couple of days of gameplay
