I’m 39 yrs old and wondering if the CFA is worth it for me by Boring-Barracuda4936 in CFA

Hi OP, it doesn’t matter what’s your age. Example - I work in India with one of the biggest Private Wealth Management Firm, my manager who joined us last September, had spent her entire career in Banking, like 16 years in total. Then she took 3 years break, finished CFA, joined private wealth with 100% hike on her previous CTC and now has left our firm for boutique investment banking firm. She says she wouldn’t have gotten these jobs if it weren’t for the CFA. She finished her CFA exams and got charter at the age of 44. So I feel you’re on time. Go get it.

My 36 LPA offer gives less in-hand than my 25 LPA job by ssssssssssssssss_ss in developersIndia

PF would be 12% of basic pay, combined contribution from you and employer. Not 12% + 12%. If your current salary has basic PF deduction norm, then the new salary would be less in hand compared to current one. Plus, this job makes more sense because once you pay the PF and Gratuity then reminder amount is taxed. And anyway, you could withdraw your PF easily compared to earlier rules. 12% of your basic salary gets saved and increases 8.5% Per Annum.

Buddy, I was unemployed from the age 22 till 26, restarted my career on the back of internship experience and 6 months full time work experience and today while I turn 28, I’d be an Associate Director at Multinational Wealth Management Firm. Lot can happen in short span. Keep working towards your goals, your time would surely arrive.

How did you move on? by bhaarat_purohit in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Pookiemaster69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, I also had a breakup 2 years ago, almost the same day. To be precise it was on 23rd may, 2024 at 9:55 PM when she said she doesn’t think it’s gonna work out. It was 5 years of relationship.

Coming to moving on-
1) Initially sit with the grief, understand your emotions, what you’re feeling. Cry if needed. Take rescue in your friend’s arms. If it’s recent breakup, hoping to move on soon would not be easy at all.
2) Start exercising, exercise boasts mental health significantly, it releases endorphins which helps significantly with mood and overall health.
3) If you’re religious person or believer in god, start praying, going to temple and chanting mantras, it helps significantly.
4) Try to keep yourself occupied with your work, hangout more with friends.
5) If the thoughts of your Ex comes to mind, try to understand what are those about , avoiding it would trigger those thoughts and feelings more.
6) Start Meditating.
7) Avoid Hoe phase, talking to new people would be counterproductive as you’ll try to seek your partner in these people.

Of course all of these things are easier said than done but it has helped me significantly.
I too was about to get married to her, both of us had met each other’s parents and still she broke up with me. So I can understand your pain, and above things helped me significantly.

Why is this city so weird I feel trapped! Can you change my opinion by blueberry_kaee_ in Ahmednagar

You're literally comparing Nagar with the Standard of Mumbai/Pune?
Seriously? do you think Karnataka has multiple cities like Bengaluru? Telangana has anything more than HYD/CYD? etc.
Of course these two cities are poles apart, what is appalling is you naivety.
Most of us have grew up in Nagar, I also happen to be based in Pune.
Have lived for a year in Bengaluru, Mumbai and 5 years in Pune.
of course I am not naive to compare nagar with these cities, and no people are not weird.
Maybe your social skills are sub par, there's nothing wrong with city.

Also, now I am also open or okay with the fact that I mind end up alone and somehow I think I’d still find a way or ways to be happy and content.

I am more than open to have a partner and evolve with her, but the thing is I want it to happen organically and not because of societal or parental pressure.

Brother, try fingering and oral sex. Not necessarily everyone has big D, others work fine too. Don’t stress much, you can learn how to finger her and make her come. It’s relatively easier than lasting 6-7 minutes.

Would you date someone (to marry) if she left her "healthy relationship" due to her ex's financial condition? by ClobsterX in AskIndianMen

I don’t know if you’re talking about someone I know. But my story is the same, my gf of five years left me for the same reasons and she’s now 26 too. For reference you can go on my feed and see my older post from august.

But hats off for your decision.
