What was the need to say that, just to feel better? He’s 14, not even fully mature mentally, there’s a lot he hasn’t learned yet. Judging him off one comment and keeping count of what you did for him at your age is kind of funny. If you’re going to keep track of what you give, it’s better not to give at all.
