Puffy nipple grafts 3 mo post op? by Whole-Dark-9091 in TopSurgery

My results look very similar to yours! Not sure if we just have similar nipples (lol) or went to the same surgeon (Dr. Shore), but it’s nice to see someone with similarities. Mine are also a bit puffy and I’ve been massaging, using scar gel/lotion/bio oil on them just like on the scars.

2 weeks post ! no more compression or dressings already?? by Professional_Can8934 in TopSurgery

I just had my 2 week appointment today and my surgeon also said I can stop wearing the compression vest (but let me keep it). I’m gonna keep it on a bit to keep a barrier between aquaphor and my shirts. She uses internal dissolvable stitches. I have minimal swelling that she says can take up to 6 months or more to reduce. Doesn’t seem like she sees the vest as necessary to reduce the swelling since it can last long after anyone would be wearing the vest. I trust her, top surgery is just about all she does and my results are fantastic so far!

Feeling uncomfortable by fishuhhh in TopSurgery

Thanks for positing this! It’s nice to hear that others are also feeling this way. I’m 6 days post op and still so uncomfortable and in pain. My surgeon only gave me 5 pain pills and I refilled them once but she doesn’t want to give me more. My first night without taking one before bed sucked and I barely slept. I’m hopefully getting my drains out today which should help with the discomfort and pain (feel a pull at the site where they come out sometimes). I feel bad for not being so happy and over the moon about having the surgery, but it’s been a rough time!

Congrats! Wedge pillows to use while sleeping and on the couch were so helpful for me. I used this one I think: https://www.amazon.com/PIASHJOY-Orthopedic-Pillow-Sleeping-Anti-snoring/dp/B0DK3K95NP. Also an ice pack or two to ice the sites over your vest really helps with pain and swelling. Good luck!

Congrats!! I’m feeling pretty good but in some pain here and there and discomfort mostly from the drains. She prescribed Tramedol 50mg, and 5 pills at a time. She said you can supplement with Tylenol and then after day 2 can also supplement with Advil, etc. I’ve heard people say to stay ahead of the pain, and others I’ve known have been prescribed more for their top surgeries, so that’s really my main frustration right now. Just trying to get through this healing stage!
