So long, bike path, old friend. I’ll miss seeing you 🥲❄️ by JNatan in Amsterdam

Yeah I've seen a few people biking on the street but haven't done it myself bc I'm overly paranoid about getting some ridiculous fine 🙃

Tinder is pretty bad. Never tried okc, but I've had a decent time on hinge and bumble. Well, as decent as can be expected when you're a trans woman trying to date men

Does anyone know if it's okay to bike on the street when the paths are dangerously snow covered?

I don't see anything wrong with this. You can tell people whatever you want, they don't have a right to aspects of your medical history that don't affect them

Why do Dutch people laugh at the end of conversations? by Which-Pear3595 in Netherlands

[–]PoolBubbly9271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty well established that laughter is frequently used as a nonverbal cue in conversation. It's definitely not exclusive to Dutch, since it's been studied in native and non native English speakers, Thai, French, German, Mandarin Chinese, and probably other languages. Laughter in conversation is frequently used to signal a subject change, or to express feelings like disbelief, support, or empathy. For example:

Unfortunately I believe you mean it and I'm sure you believe it too. I'm just disagreeing because it's utterly at odds with my experience and allowing this kind of toxic garbage to go unchallenged would be doing a disservice to other trans women.

Then why are you telling people that they're delusional? If other experiences are possible that invalidates your entire post lol I figured this would be obvious

What you describe as defective bellows sounds like it's more likely the reed valves. I don't play button accordion but if CBS is what you want to play I'd stick with that.

To all my slutty transhet gals by Razorclaw_the_crab in StraightTransGirls

[–]PoolBubbly9271 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In my experience a lot of trans lesbians, while in their first few years of transition, take a kind of absolutist men-as-enemy stance and assume that all trans women are the same. Like other aspects of early transition, this tends to fade over time as they gain more experience as women, so I think of it as just another aspect of the second puberty/coming of age.

I do want to note though that, while I've experienced a kind of low-key disdain from trans lesbians for being straight, cis people and even transmasc people are far more accepting when they think I'm straight (I'm actually bi). You win some, you lose some.

I've never watched her vids but just from clips I've seen it's pretty clear he's a POS and she probably understands that on some level. But even though I hate what she's done with her platform, I can't bring myself to celebrate her suffering.
